The Opportunity
OpenText has developed regional Centers of Excellence for Account Development globally. This fast-paced, high-energy team will partner with our Global Account Directors to expand the OpenText footprint in our top accounts across the entire solution portfolio.
As a Senior Account Development Executive, you will be joining a high-performing team where you will focus on a key industry and express OpenText value through the lens of that vertical – pain points, compliance requirements, competitive advantage, etc. You will be required to build relationships and partner with several internal and external stakeholders to be successful in uncovering and qualifying new pipeline opportunities.
Account Development fuels the revenue engine for OpenText, creating new opportunities through a hybrid inbound and outbound prospecting approach. Strategic “hunting” is a key requirement of this role, so the candidate must be confident in learning and positioning the OpenText value proposition in the context of the customer’s business needs. Research, outbound calling, emailing, video prospecting and social outreach will all be critical in driving the success of the individual in this role. Some event travel may be required.

What it takes
•    Minimum 3 years of outbound prospecting and lead generation experience in a technology environment preferred
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
•    Exceptional verbal and written communication, including ability to influence others
•    Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
•    Goal-oriented, positive, self-starter with strong analytical skills and a track record of autonomy, ownership, and execution within a sales-driven and targeted environment
•    Experience with Salesforce, High Velocity Sales, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo & 6Sense an advantage
