Compensation & Benefits Analyst

The Total Reward Analyst will work with the Regional Director, Total Rewards and support the team on research, analysis, delivery, evaluation and effective administration of Compensation & Benefits programs and initiatives in the EMEA region (20 countries).  This includes providing subject matter expertise and best practices knowledge to support HR and the business.

The Benefits Analyst will work collaboratively with HR and HR Shared Services (this includes Payroll, HR Operations), Finance, Accounts Payable as well as external vendors.

You Are Great At

  • Creating tools to collect, analyze, and summarize large amounts of data identifying issues & trends. (i.e. preparing compensation ranges, comp & benefits cost analysis, M&A comparisons, disability claims trends, monitoring pay practices, reporting)
  • Collaborating with HR Managers and HR Shared Services to ensure effective and accurate administration, ensuring HR staff are well informed of policies, programs, products and services
  • Implementing, maintaining, redesigning policies as well as related administration processes and tools to ensure benefit plans are administered effectively.
  • Acting as the escalation point for internal and external inquiries relating to policies, procedures and error correction on Compensation & Benefit programs.
  • Assisting with reward projects, communications, training, documentation and maintaining benefit intranet sites.
  • Tracking and reconciliation of 3rd party vendor payments (eg Benefit Providers) monthly billing and regular reconciliation of premium payments to ensure that payments are clearly documented and remitted on time.
  • Developing new processes as well as identifying opportunities to improve efficiency (i.e.:  invoice reconciliation, renewal data files, HR Services escalations)


What It Takes

  • Experience in Human Resources or Finance along with post-secondary education in a related area or working towards professional certification.  
  • Attention to detail - Strong Excel & analytical skills and able to research, analyse and identify trends or areas of concern in data or reports.
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex fast paced environment with multiple tasks, tight deadlines and with a high degree of change and ambiguity.
  • Some experience with Compensation & Benefits an asset, has industry knowledge and is familiar with and able to apply a variety of the field's commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through on commitments and deadlines.
  • Strong customer focus with understanding of the importance of data protection & confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and comfortably interact with team members and leaders
  • SAP knowledge would be an asset
