Principal Solutions Consultant - e-invoicing

We are looking for a Principal Solution Consultant who is an expert in electronic invoicing and compliance to join the EMEA team reporting to the head of EMEA Solution Consulting within Business Network.

Enterprises are increasingly looking to global providers for invoicing and automation needs in an ever more complex environment of compliance and a move from post-audit to clearance models around the world.  Increasing the value of services to the business is fast becoming a number one requirement to automate the mundane and increase the value of human interaction in the value chain.

As a Principal Solution Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for supporting our EMEA sales team with ongoing sales initiatives and expansion of the OpenText services portfolio with a laser focus on compliance.  You will work closely with the sales and customer management teams to provide business process and subject matter expertise to convince prospects and customers with value-based proposals of OpenText’s industry leading solutions.


Desired Capabilities:

  • Strong background in invoice management and compliance in a wide range of businesses and industry sectors
  • Experienced in consulting with customers at all levels from operational staff to CxO, recognising the different needs of individuals at different levels and in different functions
  • Comfortable in a variety of customer interactions including presentation and whiteboarding, facilitating meeting, be “good on your feet”, able to handle objections, disruptions or other unexpected inputs with confidence and professionalism
  • Willingness to provide the customer with leadership, not just advice on options
  • Communicates complex concepts and issues effectively, selecting language, tone, and format perfectly targeted to the audience
  • Fosters open communication and candid discussions with people at all levels of the organization, even on highly sensitive topics
  • Expertly makes compelling value-centric presentations


What you will be doing:

  • Qualify opportunities for invoice compliance and automation based on a cloud-based integration services platform from OpenText Business Network
  • Develop sales leads and provide expert discovery and analysis of customer business and technical requirements.  Identify business “pains” or opportunities that can be better addressed through improvements to business process or services from OpenText
  • Consult with customers on business process improvements and new technology initiatives sustainable with OpenText solutions
  • Create new business cases and ROI plans in cooperation with the customer stakeholders in order to further the OpenText portfolio in use by the customer. Construct compelling, easy-to-understand cases for investment
  • Architect solutions based on OpenText capabilities, that will secure the customers’ business case and investment decision
  • Present and demonstrate both OpenText solutions as well as compelling business cases to customers for both technical and c-level audiences
  • Win projects by helping our customers understand why OpenText is the best choice for their Managed Services goals


Experience and Skills:

  • Strong experience in e-Invoicing and invoice compliance in a pre-sales or consulting role with proven ability to understand and analyze prospects needs and position OpenText solutions to address these.  Experience with invoice automation is a bonus
  • Knowledge of ERP, B2B and data integration including solutions such as Managed Services and iPaaS; formats such as EDI and XML, SAP including HANA; and communications protocols such as AS2 and sFTP along with APIs
  • Conceptual understanding of different ERP systems and integration including SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft and others – both cloud and off-cloud
  • Understanding of supply/value chains and best practices in various industries – core focus areas are high-tech, CPG, retail, automotive, life sciences, and manufacturing
  • Experience in services model on a global basis that includes service level agreements (SLA), governance, data center operations, ongoing customer management and change management
  • Excellent customer relations including written and verbal communication skills in English plus French or German.  The ability to speak a third language is a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrate a team attitude while enjoying a high level of independence
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Business
