THE OPPORTUNITY:
The position is focused on relationship management, selling the value of OpenText Maintenance and support programs, and driving retention as well as growth.
Quoting, establishing a regular outreach cadence, positioning upsells, regular follow up and closing renewals are primary responsibilities. Maintaining regular contact regardless of whether there is a specific client need requiring attention. Showing a deep understanding of underlying future needs or issues.
Providing support, actions and solutions to customers and making decisions based on maintaining the long-term relationship. Thinking through the impact and proposing appropriate solutions for successful results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide exceptional service by reaching out via phone and e-mail on a consistent basis and building strong customer relationships. In addition, providing a consultative and proactive process to producing competitive renewal quotes.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to prepare renewal quotes, overcoming objections through process of negotiation and adjusting quotes as required to ensure competitiveness of the solution being presented to the customer
- Be a trusted advisor for the Customer for their support needs. Cultivating an environment of mutual value recognized between OpenText and our customers.
- Utilizing departmental standard operating procedures to effectively manage the renewal process.
- Taking ownership of the contracts assigned to you. A strong sense of urgency and ownership is required to manage your portfolio resulting in full value, on time renewals.
- Understanding of road map for products.
- Identification of at-risk contracts and early engagement with internal stakeholders to mitigate
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Proven experience in a related field
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, strong listening skills and experience in contract and pricing negotiation
- Solid sales skills with a customer focus
- Detail oriented, proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience in an outbound phone sales/support role
- Skilled with calculations
- Willingness to take on ad hoc responsibilities
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office
- Experience in SAP is an asset
