The Opportunity

 

As Senior Manager Professional Services you’re responsible for growing the Managed Services business, ensuring successful program delivery through the management of direct reports, establishing & supporting program delivery leading practices, driving presales opportunities, and driving revenue through the delivery of customer engagements. This role focuses on Managed Services and reports to the Director Professional Services.

 

You are great at:

 

Manage, coach and mentor a team of Service Managers in EMEA
Individual and team development, growing the team, and onboarding of new Consultants including support of recruiting
Create a sustaining pipeline of Managed Services opportunities in close collaboration with Account Executives and Client Manager/Director; focus on quarterly budget expectations
Drive business development process for Professional Services to close contracts; negotiate deliverables/ schedules/ costing for services with prospects
Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and organization standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems 
Manage escalations and address issues with appropriate teams 
Manage your team’s utilization results, staffing, scheduling, development planning and performance
Provide thought leadership by establishing and standardizing delivery practices and solution approaches
Provide strategic input to customers and prospects
Interacting with other OpenText departments, across various regions and time zones
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

 

Experience/Qualifications:


BA / BS – Business or Technical Degree preferred; MBA optional
Minimum 10+ years of experience in professional services, consulting or solution sales roles
A minimum of 2 years management experience and leading teams of significant size
Experience in Managed Services is a plus
Excellent people management and motivational skills
Customer-facing skills
Very good commercial understanding and proven experience
Proven experience and competencies with Services Sales
Strong interpersonal skills, technical depth, and breadth, solid written communication and presentation skills are required
Experience managing a remote team
Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
Travel is a requirement of this position (depending on COVID situation)
Language: English is mandatory, German is a plus
