The Opportunity
This is a Hybrid working arrangement reporting to the Global Head of Tax Reporting and Compliance, the purpose of this role is to provide EMEA wide tax support and leadership for the OpenText Group – ensuring opportunities to deliver value are maximised, risks are managed and all EMEA direct tax compliance and reporting obligations are met. The Senior Tax Manager, EMEA will also be responsible for building out an appropriate team beneath them to support this; accordingly there is scope for increased responsibility and seniority.

You are great at:
- Working with the finance team and local tax advisors to lead and deliver direct tax compliance matters across EMEA, including:
- Timely and accurate submission of all EMEA direct tax filings, working with both the inhouse team and external advisors;
- Coordinate and review the annual tax disclosures in the local companies’ statutory accounts;
- Manage significant, external compliance contracts;
- Local tax audit and enquiry support.
- Assist wider tax team with regular tax cashflow forecasting across EMEA.
- Assist with the quarterly US GAAP reporting requirements of the group, including:
- Preparing tax numbers (including FIN48) for all EMEA entities – including some specific UK calculations (experience in UK tax is therefore beneficial but not a firm requirement)
- Preparing return to provision true-ups and tax roll forward files (all tax balances) for all EMEA entities
- Liaising with group auditors for audit and SOx purposes.
- Leverage experience to assist with optimization and Tax transformation projects, including but not limited to:
- Management and mitigation of withholding tax costs to the group, including in relation to both customer contracts and intragroup flows of royalties, interest, dividends etc.
- Legal Entity Rationalisation
- Insourcing / consolidation of outsource providers
- Reorganisation and integration projects across EMEA.
Education:
ACA / CTA or equivalent
At least 2 years Post Qualified Experience.
