YOUR IMPACT
As a Collections Specialist at OpenText, you will leverage your extensive experience in global collections to achieve collections targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the Manager, Collections, you will play a key role in supporting the Cash Collections strategy and ensuring flawless execution in every integration. With a best-practice mindset, you will continuously strive for excellence in the collections function.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Ensure timely collection of accounts within your portfolio, maintaining accurate customer information.
• Effectively resolve collections disputes within your portfolio, minimizing aged receivables.
• Stay updated with changes in collection practices and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Accurately assess the collectability of disputed items before they reach 90 days past due, flagging “at risk” accounts for resolution.
• Support collections activities in other portfolios as needed to meet cash flow targets, partnering with peers for success.
• Assist the Manager, Collections, with projects and initiatives aimed at delivering best-in-class processes and practices for the Cash Collections function.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• Enrolment in an accredited Credit and Collections program or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of collections experience, preferably in global B2B environments.
• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on resolving issues correctly the first time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, particularly with Sales and External Customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Excel.
• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset to support process automation.
• Strong collaborator who understands the importance of teamwork in delivering results and finding solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to learn from peers and others, supporting a culture of resilience in a continuously changing environment.
