The Opportunity:

The OpenText Content Professional Services Practice has an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the Canadian team as a Consultant. This role offers growth opportunities to an individual who is willing to learn multiple OpenText products and methodologies.  Job responsibilities include applying business and technical skills, as well as consulting methodologies, to collect and analyze requirements, configure and implement OpenText products based on unique customer requirements. This position is focused on implementing solutions using OpenText Content Suite, Captiva, Capture Center, Documentum and Information Archive product lines. 


You're great at:

•    Being a consultant and delivering solutions with confidence and high-quality deliverables.
•    Building applications and/or deploying software solutions for customers. 
•    Understanding and translating customer business requirements into a solution design.
•    Developing well-structured and well-documented code.
•    Contributing to project documentation, including, but not limited to requirements document, technical design, test plans, and knowledge transfer documentation. 
•    Being flexible. One project may involve designing a records management solution, the next might require coding and testing a solution component. 
•    Effectively communicating through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Demonstrating strong customer-facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships. 
•    Participating in presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations to a mixed audience of technical, business, and management staff.
•    Preparing, maintaining, and submitting weekly activity/progress reports and time recording reports in accordance with published procedures.
What it takes:

•    Minimum of 2+ years of technical consulting and software development experience.
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / equivalent.
•    Proven ability to implement and deliver software solutions through the entire lifecycle.
•    Knowledge of OpenText products or other Content Management system is desirable.
•    Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently, while being part of a dynamic team.
•    Being self-motivated when following learn paths for OpenText products and methodologies. 
•    Experience with cloud technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud providers such as AWS, GCP and Azure.
•    A working knowledge of a variety of OpenText supporting technologies that might include: Windows Servers & Clients, Unix, Active Directory, Microsoft business applications (including O365), Networking, and Databases.
•    Proficiency in languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Angular, React, REST, Spring Boot, Shell Scripting, HTML5, XML, JSP is desirable.
•    Ability to converse, read, and write in French is desirable.
•    Holding a current Canadian clearance status is desirable.
•    Adhere to Open Text’s internal standards and best practices for consistent, high quality project delivery.
•    Travel is a requirement of this position.
•    This is a revenue-generating position.
•    Location: Canada, Ontario or Quebec.
