Lead Software Developer

The Opportunity:

The Lead Software Developer on the Messaging team will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, and production readiness of application changes in support of our Messaging platform.   There is a need for a highly creative, motivated individual who can perform hands-on coding in several languages and platforms, as well as be able to converse with different levels of the organization in understanding complex business initiatives.   These activities will include the Development of applications used in our Messaging platform and working with product management and other development teams on roadmap items in support of converging our Messaging platforms to one, assisting to fully understand the requirements needed.

You are great at:

This lead developer will require skills in multiple programming languages, most notably Java and Web Methods are strongly desired; Angular is also desired.   The primary responsibility is to provide technical expertise and application support in the design, development, and delivery of our Messaging platform.   The ideal candidate should also be proficient in various databases, mainly using Oracle, but additionally in Postgres and NoSQL databases. 


What it takes:

•    Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with multiple programming languages such as; Java, Web Methods, Angular/React, REST
•    Strong SQL skills in Oracle
•    Demonstrated knowledge in CI: CD patterns, including the usage of tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
•    Bachelor’s in computer science or related field required
•    Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum is highly desired
•    Strong individual contributor who can coach/mentor junior developers is desired
•    Strong communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with senior management, technical support, and engineers across several geographies is desired
•    Ability to work independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team
•    Organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in an agile setting
