The Opportunity


The Lead Software Developer is the functional primary for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting trading partner integrations on Trading Grid.  As the lead and SME for EDI and Integration, OpenText also looks for this expert to help us design and implement platform-wide improvements because of your analysis and experience with automated data exchange and delivery with customers, vendors, and internal departments. By working closely with others in Product, Sales and Delivery teams this expert will be able to implement first-class solutions for a global industry leader.



You Are Great At


  • Working effectively with multi-disciplinary team members including customer stakeholders and end users, project managers, and developers
  • Thinking conceptually and being able to translate concepts into more detailed requirements, implementation details.
  • Interpreting technical specifications, integration requirements and aligning them against the capabilities of our platform and standard business processes 
  • Working with Product Managers to prepare functional specifications.
  • Interacting with mapping and development team members and helping them to understand the bigger picture, and the business perspective.
  • Problem solving, analysis and the ability to investigate complex issues.
  • Working on multiple projects, juggling priorities, and sometimes dealing with tight schedules.
  • Interact with mapping development teams to create
  • Helping to create and execute Customer Acceptance Test Plans.
  • Create and review design documents for Solutions Management/Production Support handoffs.


What It Takes:


  • 8+ years strong EDI experience.
  • Experience with EDI standard formats like EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, X12, IDOCs etc.
  • Experience with mapping tools (AI, BizTrans etc) to convert data from ANSI X12 to XML, SQL, FLAT File, SAP IDoc formats and vice versa.
  • Experience with Database (Oracle), SQL and JavaScript development
  • Experience with communication standards such as FTP, AS2, HTTP etc.
  • Experience with one or more ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite etc) and related business processes (e.g., Order to Cash (O2C) or Procure to Pay (P2P)) and an understanding of how these processes work in “real life” is a big plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
