The Opportunity

OpenText’s EnCase® is the most widely deployed DFIR (Digital Forensic and Incident Response) platform in the world and has been named “The Best Computer Forensic Solution” by SC Magazine for 10 years running.  EnCase solves forensic security and investigatory needs for law enforcement, government agencies and enterprise customers using comprehensive forensic science, powerful evidence processing, and deep analysis.


The EnCase Engineering team seeks an experienced engineer who is ready to collaborate on the next generation of EnCase capabilities. We are looking for a senior engineer with extensive development and architecture experience.


You Are Great At

We are looking for talented, driven, entrepreneurial people to execute on the OpenText strategy.

As a Lead Software Engineer on the EnCase Endpoint Security team, you will work with a range of

technologies to maintain and enhance the existing Endpoint Security web interface. Our Web UI is

written in ReactJS. We’re looking for a ReactJS champion capable of:

  • Leading Web UI enhancement, maintenance, and design efforts
  • Mentoring other web UI developers
  • Being a go-to person for anything web, particularly ReactJS, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Partaking in iterative design process, user story write-up, and implementation


What It Takes

  • 5+ years of ReactJS development
  • 8+ years of JavaScript development
  • 8+ years of CSS development
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and ODATA
  • Experience with different web authentication methods
  • Experience with Node.js package manager (NPM)
  • Passion for constantly improving user experience
  • You must be a team player; as a team, we win, pivot and learn together. There is no room for
  • egos on the team.
  • You must be a self-starter, able to take a concept and run with it.
  • You must be creative, able to design and troubleshoot with out-of-the-box thinking.
  • You have an attitude that moves things forward
  • You love challenges and thrive when working in a fast-paced environment


Desired Skills

  • Any UX design experience
  • Led web UI layer development in the past
  • Familiarity with Material UI design concepts
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL views
  • Experience in C# is a plus
