WHAT DOES THE ENABLEMENT MARKETING TEAM DO?
The Marketing department is focused on developing and driving the OpenText brand, creating clear and compelling product messaging, and generating demand for OpenText products and solutions across the globe.

 

The Marketing Intern will be joining the Enablement Marketing team, which includes six enablement managers and two sales play and peer-to-peer learning managers located in Canada, the United States and Europe. We provide sales teams with the information, content and tools to sell more effectively.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING:
General Business Skills:

  • Partner with enablement team members to learn collaboration strategies with sales, marketing, industry, and subject matter experts
  • Oversee the closed deals calendar and work cross-functionally to gather data and help deliver learning modules in the form of sales stories and sales presentations
  • Explore our sales readiness platform, Mindtickle, where you will learn to track learner engagement and analyze effectiveness  
  • Support experts with creating online courses. This would include but is not limited to interviewing subject matter experts, conducting research, strategizing the best way to get information across to learners, drafting and recording scripts, building out content, publishing course content modules, and tracking results
  • Be an active member of a sales play working team, where you will be involved in bringing a sales play to life, from concept to launch
  • Gain knowledge and insights about the different types of marketing teams and how they collaborate by attending and contributing to cross-functional agile meetings
  • Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams), Mindtickle sales readiness platform, and OpenText content services platforms.

 

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Ability to research industry best practices, manage multiple projects, track and report on progress
  • Ability to support with completing tasks that are part of the enablement process and peer-to-peer programs.
  • Ability to communicate and follow-up with internal teams to ensure projects are on track for required deadlines

 

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited co-op program at an University/College to be eligible for this position. 
  • Strong research and comprehension skills; ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Strong project management, time management, organization, and presentation skills, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong creativity, attention to detail and conceptualization skills.
  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office are an asset.

 

This job requires you to work from our Richmond Hill office 2-3 days per week. OpenText has a Flexible Work policy in Canada. This requires employees to be located proximate to an OpenText office so that they can come to the office 2-3 days per week.
