Your Impact:

 

Within the Fortify Application Security portfolio, we’re working on a variety of AI/ML and data science projects. A Development role at OpenText is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to impact lives. As a key contributor, you'll be working on groundbreaking Fortify Aviator solution for SAST issue auditing and remediation, based on generative AI / LLM technology. With Debricked, we have a software composition analysis solution that’s driven by intelligently creating data feeds from various sources. Many other initiatives are underway, while we continue to strengthen these existing ones. These solutions are being created by the international Fortify team.

 

You will engage in solving meaningful challenges within a motivated team, gaining exposure to advanced technologies beyond individual access. You will be encouraged to cultivate an engineering mindset, driving the creation of innovative software solutions that address real-world problems and shape the future.

 

 

What the role offers:

 

 As a Principal AI Developer, you will:

  • Act as a lead/mentor for more junior AI/ML and data science colleagues in the Canada location when we hire them.
  • Act as a thought leader in the global Fortify AI/ML and data science community.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of both the Fortify Aviator and Debricked solutions. Contribute to existing initiatives in those areas and propose new ones.
  • Research and implement completely new AI/ML and data science activities in the Fortify SAST and SCA areas.
  • At least 8+ years of relevant industry.

 

 

What you need to Succeed:

 

  • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Research experience in machine learning, deep learning, and/or natural language processing.
  • Experience developing applications powered by LLMs.
  • Experience in developing and training AI/ML models.
  • A basic understanding of application security (OWASP Top-10, etc.) and application security testing techniques (SAST, SCA).
  • Hands-on programming skills, at a minimum in Python and Java. Other languages are a plus.
  • Good written, verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Having a deep understanding of AppSec and AppSec testing, along with hands-on experience with SAST and SCA tools, would be highly advantageous.
