The FP&A team has a unique opportunity for a Principal Financial Analyst to join the team. This expert-level FP&A professional will work closely with cross-functional teams to consolidate, monitor, process, and report on essential financial metrics such as Operating Expenses, Capital Expenditures, Depreciation, and Expense Allocations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial business partnering, enabling them to guide business leaders in making informed operational and investment decisions. By leveraging advanced financial modeling and system capabilities, the Principal Financial Analyst will deliver critical insights to drive strategic financial decisions, ultimately maximizing long-term business value.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Consolidate, validate, and report on operating expenses, capital forecasts, and budgets, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Lead and maintain expense allocation processes, models, and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to provide actionable recommendations. This includes scenario analysis, data aggregation, model development, and coordination with business leaders.
- Collaborate with the accounting team during the Close process, providing insights on operating expenses, capital expenditures, trend analysis, and variance reporting.
- Synthesize information from various systems, reporting tools, and stakeholders to deliver granular insights into financial models.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support business initiatives and special projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Accounting designation required. Preference for CPA, CA or US CPA designation
- 12+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with a focus on FP&A and business partnership
- Advanced skills and experience in financial modeling and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel) and ERP reporting systems skills
- Proven self-starter with the ability to balance multiple tasks of competing priorities in a changing and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively facilitate or lead cross functional teams.
