YOUR IMPACT
The Senior Director of Platform Strategy and Transformation is responsible for outlining broader strategy and driving both tactical and strategic roadmaps of key enterprise platforms including both cloud and data centers. Key objectives include designing how platforms will be used within OpenText to deliver optimal business value and margin improvements.
This position is responsible for delivering and executing OpenText's enterprise platforms strategy, and roadmap and delivering sustained margin improvements. Examples would be the delivery of a cloud strategy and roadmap, the delivery of a data center consolidation strategy, the establishment of a cloud margin improvement program, etc. 
The role will report to the VP, of Enterprise Architecture and Transformation and will be pivotal in advancing the overall platform strategy and architecture, significantly contributing to how enterprise platforms are leveraged in OpenText and the overall organization's success and growth.

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
•    Strategy Development: Assess current state, gaps, and target state roadmaps for enterprise platforms while aligning with business goals, product roadmaps, and budgetary plans
•    Bridging Strategy to Execution: Develop options and strategic recommendations that solve business problems. Develop high-level cost-benefit analysis and outline initiatives and sequencing to deliver strategy
•    Business Objectives and KPIs: Own and drive business objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) of enterprise platforms to drive operational cost reduction and improvement in margins
•    Architecture Guidance: Provide expert advice on architecture, designs and best practices to both commercial and corporate technology teams in extracting optimal value from enterprise platforms
•    Enterprise-Wide Transformation: Managing large and complex enterprise-wide initiatives that solve business problems 
•    Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of enterprise platforms, adjusting as needed. Identify opportunities to continue optimizing and right-sizing enterprise platforms by establishing capabilities and practices for ongoing optimization 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
•    End to End- Strategy building, planning design, and execution ability. Also, to present results to the Executive Board
•    Commercial Mindset- To drive margin improvements through focused initiatives like FinOps Automation and standardization of operational processes 
•    Technology Strategy- Strong understanding of application architecture, platform, and data architecture 
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to work with Cross-Functional teams including Engineering, Platform, and Finance teams to drive enterprise-wide transformation 
•    Implementation Advisory - Provide advisory and guidance during the implementation phase, working closely with different teams to ensure successful execution
•    10 + years of demonstrated success in leading technology initiatives across multiple systems, of varying degrees of complexity. 
•    Ability to manage and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on complex data.
