Senior Software Developer

Service Level Measurement (SLM) is a feature in Trading Grid Online that provides Managed Services customers a process to measure system performance vs. contractual service level commitments. The SLM feature will provide a self-service dashboard, enabling customers to view contractual service level commitments and run reports.
The Opportunity
The role of Senior Developer is to effectively analyze requirements, create, execute comprehensive test cases in a timely and accurate manner, for simple to complex functionalities in one or more concurrent projects. The primary function is to identify requirements with Product Management team to build features that help customers review the system performance. OpenText is looking for this expert to help us design and implement platform-wide features. You will be responsible for strategic plans focused on growth initiatives, driving towards the helping customer realize their potential of existing business and help them grow in new business opportunities within the OpenText cloud. Your work will involve cross-functional collaboration between Cloud Production Support, Professional Services, and Product Management to craft and design solutions that can be made commercially available to customers.
You Are Great At
- Working within a scrum team and contribute to all software development activities across the entire life cycle of the product including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues by leveraging your superior analytical skills
- Collaborating with other functional teams in a large and diverse environment.
- Working with Project Managers in understanding their pain points to convert them into technical requirements.
- Create tools and processes to reduce the pain points of Product Management and Project Management teams to help Customers.
- Work with QA team in automating the processes wherever necessary.
- Inform the project/team lead of any risks or issues that may affect the schedule, and quality of the application.
- Understand and adhere to Agile processes.
- To work in collaboration with teams across geographies
- Perform non-functional tests such as basic automation, security testing and performance tests as needed.
- Recommend and implement suggestions or process improvements.
- Provide production support as needed.
What It Takes:
- Should have 5 to 8 years of enterprise product development experience.
- Should have strong hands-on experience in Java technologies.
- Should have very good problem solving, analytical, design and coding skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exposure on building and consuming webservices (using RESTful APIs)
- Knowledge of XML
- Experience with SQL, Databases, data modeling
- Experience building micro services
- Exposure to EDI is a nice-to-have
