The Opportunity:
The OpenText Global Sourcing and Contract Management (GSCM) team helps maximize value from OpenText’s vendor relationships and ensures our business unit stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed.
You will act as a Sourcing lead and deliver projects in all aspects of the sourcing process, from category assessment, cost savings opportunities, vendor due diligence, RFx process, contract negotiations, business unit stakeholders and vendor management.
Categories in scope will include but are not limited to IT (hardware, software, services), marketing, corporate professional services (legal, consulting, contingent workforce, audit, finance), HR, travel, facilities, etc. You will also support M&A integration initiatives, as well as act as a change agent as part of our broader Source-to-Pay (S2P) Transformation initiative.
In this position, you will get a broad understanding of OpenText’s overall business and will provide great visibility and understanding across the organization.
You Are Good At:
• Develop and maintain a clear understanding of client business objectives and support in creating an annual category strategy and procurement roadmap.
• Participate in financial planning and budget development and execution, detailing expected sourcing activity and results for assigned categories.
• Benchmarking and identifying key industry trends, which impact assigned categories and/or other products/services as assigned.
• Work closely with internal stakeholder to ensure cost efficiency and lead cross-functional teams through sourcing initiatives, planning & execution of the RFx process, leading commercial negotiations and delivering results.
• Managing the supplier selection process and providing analytics to ensure informed decisions.
• Accurate and detailed monthly reporting of sourcing opportunities and achieved savings.
• Work closely with cross-functional procurement teams (Contract Management, Procurement Operations, and Accounts Payable) to support internal stakeholder with source-to-pay activities.
• Support the identification of acquisition, integration, and post-merger contract and synergies.
• Implement strategic sourcing methodologies and supplier management best practices.
• Develop a network of both internal and external peer relationships and affiliation to related professional organizations. Leading and driving continuous improvement within the source-to-pay organization.
What it Takes:
• Minimum 3+ years of strategic sourcing and category management experience, previous program or project management experience, with a knowledge of the end-to-end source-to-pay process (sourcing, contracts, procurement ops, and accounts payable).
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Good understanding of project management methodologies, creative problem solver, good planning and organization skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service focused and a strong team player, demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
• Global mindset required, global experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce, MBA, LLB, Engineering or Supply Chain management preferred. Professional designation/certification in Supply Chain Management (PMAC SCMP / CPP, ISM) and/or PMP an asset.
• PC skills: Knowledge of accounting/workflow systems (SAP, Netsuite, Oracle Financial), MS Office.
