OpenText is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional for a Solutions Consultant role to cover the Middle East and Africa region in Application Testing and Data Security areas. The role will be based in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. 


As an OpenText Cybersecurity sales engineer, you will influence and make a difference in the cybersecurity roadmaps of our customers in application security and data security areas, identify their specific needs, and propose innovative solutions to support a secure transformation strategy. To succeed, you must have a deep understanding of security principles, architectures, competitive products, and security designs.


The Cybersecurity Solutions Consultant, Saudi Arabia role is responsible for:


Go-To-Market Support

  • Product presentations and technical sessions for prospects, customers and partners in Dat Privacy, Protection and Application Security Testing areas
  • Live demos of OpenText Application Testing and Data Privacy and Protection solutions
  • Orchestrating successful Proof of Concepts
  • Addressing responses to RF(X) responses
  • Design comprehensive security architectures based on customer requirements
  • Build and maintain a healthy, positive relationship with key customers and partners, meeting them regularly and keeping them up to date with the latest product releases and new features
  • Representing OpenText at trade shows and events, also as a public speaker
  • Be a key sparring partner for sales and management



  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience as a cybersecurity presales, architect, analyst, consultant Information Security market
  • Hands-on experience on one or more applications or data security solutions: Dynamic and Static Application Testing or Data Encryption, Masking, Tokenization, Data discovery and classification
  • Robust knowledge of information security fundamentals, market analysis, and product verticals (architectural design, technology, implementation)
  • Excellent solution presentation skills, Desire to implement and customize OpenText Application Testing and Data discovery and protection solutions in Proof of Concept (POC) activities
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, databases, networking fundamentals, and container-based deployment technologies
  • Ability to communicate the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals
  • Good knowledge of and relationship to the local IT security market (system integrators, resellers, and distributors are desirable)


Considered as a Plus

  • Existing hands-on skills with any OpenText Fortify and/or Voltage solutions
  • CISSP, CDPSE, CISM, CEH or similar certifications

  • Strong Demonstration and Presentation skills
  • Self-responsible, creative and proactive in managing time-bond tasks and concurrent requests coming from the larger sales team
  • Confident in diving into different scenarios, from C-level meetings to bits & bytes bake-off against competitors
  • Fluent spoken and written language skills in English, Arabic would be a plus


Education and Experience Required:

  • University or bachelor’s degree; advanced or Masters degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, presales, solutions consulting, technical support, or professional services organizations

  • Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the company's technology & solutions, with deep expertise in the area of specialization and related technologies.

  • Applies broad understanding of technical innovations & trends such as AI & ML based technologies to solve customer business problems.
  • Establishes thought leadership in a technical specialty area with customers.

  • Persuasively communicates the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals.
  • Appropriately tailors communications to varying levels of customer management Industry acumen.
  • Extensive level of industry acumen; keeps current with trends and able to converse with clients on issues and challenges.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with executive managers, as well as some C-level executives.
  • Leverages a strong understanding of the competition - both positioning strategy and technology - to create a competitive advantage for the company.
