The Opportuity:
The incumbent will perform responsibilities associated with the functions of document preparation, scanning, and visual comparison following operations and processes for customer applications in a production environment. The incumbent will perform the typical responsibilities associated with the functions of document capture operations in an efficient manner. Errors have the potential for causing delay, expense and/or disruption.
Work is performed at our DCS office in San Antonio, TX. This role is for the first shift, hours of 5 am - 1 pm, Monday – Friday. Due to the confidential nature of our business, cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed on the production floor during work hours. This policy is strictly enforced.
You are great at:
Prepare documents according to customer specifications
Remove paper clips and staples
Burst multi-part forms into individual pages
Tape small documents
Repair pages as necessary
Make copies required
Arrange and straighten papers for proper feeding through scanner
Maintain document order
Basic computer skills required to perform duties.
Must maintain established quota set for each project
Document Scanning will consist of:
Will scan pre-prepped boxes of documents according to customer specifications on a high-speed scanner
Keep correct records of batches scanned
Scan pages into batches for a pre-determined image count
Responsible for correct document breaks
Responsible for image quality and correcting poor images
Maintain document order
Responsible for basic scanner maintenance
Communicate any issues with the scanner or software to supervisor
Moderate computer skills required to operate scanning programs
Must maintain established images per hour quota set for each project
Document Quality Assurance & Indexing will consist of:
Verify image quality and readability after scanning
Keep correct records of batches verified
If quality issue is detected, rescan corrected image
Responsible for removing document break patch papers
Responsible for image quality
Maintain document order
Responsible for returning sealed documents into envelopes and tagged as sealed
Knowledge-based data entry including a decision-making process to determine, through investigation, that each individual field is populated with correct information retrieved from various sources
Must maintain established images per hour quota set for each project
Able to type 40 wpm
Moderate computer skills required to operate document imaging programs
Other duties as assigned by incumbent’s supervisor
What it takes:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills are necessary to follow written orders/instructions and to maintain records.
Basic computer skills required
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
High attention to detail
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
Working quickly without compromising quality
Prioritization and time management skills
Must be able to lift 35 pounds - continuous requirement through shift
Must be able to work in a structured, fast-paced, production-mailroom environment
