The Opportunity:
OpenText Document Capture Services (DCS) offers document scanning and metadata indexing for paper documents, large format drawings, and microfilm/microfiche to a broad customer base. DCS is searching for a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our team as a Document Imaging Administrator. This role works closely with other DCS production team members in the delivery of customer projects. Document Imaging Administrators are responsible for performing document preparation, scanning and image processing tasks with a high level or quality and in an efficient manner in order to meet published production quotas.
Work is performed at our DCS office in San Antonio, TX. This role is for the first shift, hours of 5 am – 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
Due to the confidential nature of our business, cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed on the production floor during work hours. This policy is strictly enforced.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepping and scanning content, on high-speed scanners, according to customer specifications
• Maintain document order and keep accurate records of scanned batches
• Performing basic scanner maintenance
• Remove document break patch papers
• Verifying image quality and readability
• Addressing and correcting image quality issues as needed
• Data entry and review of multiple metadata fields
• Exporting images and associated metadata fields to a customer
• Communicate any issues with the scanner or software to supervisor
• Assisting with training new hires on the DCS production processes and projects when requested
• Acting as a back up to DCS Senior Document Imaging Administrators when conditions arise
• Reaching established quota targets for projects
• Other duties as assigned by incumbent’s Supervisor
You are great at:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading, writing, and math skills to follow written instructions and to maintain records
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Respectful speaking and writing skills
• Consistently pay a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds, continuous requirement throughout the shift
• Work in a structured, fast-paced, production-mailroom environment without compromising quality
• Maintain a strong level of performance with minimal supervision
• Prioritization and time management skills
