The Opportunity:
OpenText Document Capture Services (DCS) offers document scanning and metadata indexing for paper and microfilm/microfiche to a broad customer base, operating two shifts each weekday. DCS is searching for a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our team as a Production Manager. The Production Manager oversees the production process and has three main areas of responsibility: production management, project management and business operations. The work is performed at our DCS office in San Antonio, TX with occasional day trips to the DCS satellite office in Austin, TX and/or customers that are local to our offices.


You're great at:
Production Management
•Understanding the scanning production process and ensuring compliance with statements of work
•Creating production targets and instructions for each project
•Doing daily production performance reporting and making necessary adjustments to meet targets
•Monitoring and adjusting staffing levels  
•Communicating corporate and project related information to staff
•Managing and supporting individual contributors 


Project Management
•Demonstrating strong customer facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long term benefits for both companies
•Meeting with customers to provide project updates and discuss new initiatives
•Initiating change requests when needed
•Managing resourcing needs and working with temporary staffing agencies when internal employee capacity is reached
•Preparing, maintaining, and submitting weekly project status reports
•Tracking and complying with project budgets
•Working in conjunction with colleagues to ensure successful project delivery 
Business Operations
•Preparing monthly forecasts, billings & accruals
•Supporting receipt and payment of vendor invoices
•Managing internal business data in spreadsheets
•Arranging customer deliveries
•Ordering office supplies
What it takes:
•The candidate should have 5+ years of professional experience in people and team management
•Familiarity with paper and microfilm/fiche scanning processes is desired
•Adhere to Open Text’s internal standards and best practices for consistent, high quality project delivery
•Strong sense of customer service and ability to simultaneously support multiple projects 
•Experience with MS Office Suite and project management software
•Knowledge of MS Excel features such as calculations, pivot tables, charts, graphs & combining data from multiple sources
•Communicate effectively through strong speaking, listening, and writing skills 
•Paying attention to detail and have logical information organization skills
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently while being part of a dynamic team
•Quick & motivated learner on DCS production process; participate in production activities when required
•This position has a revenue generating component
•This position has direct reports
