OpenText is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast, energetic team in our San Diego location to build cutting-edge internet security applications. We build cloud computing and service applications for consumer, business and enterprise customers worldwide. Join our team and help develop next-generation applications and technology.   




  • Develop the backend systems for Webroot Security platform.
  • Build new features while improving the high availability, low latency, scalability and efficiency of our customer-facing systems.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, failure points and develop innovative technology to enable future scalability.
  • Enhance features and improve performance based on requirements




  • 4+ years of experience in software development on Windows and Linux development environments
  • Experience with programming languages preferably C#
  • Experience with scripting languages preferably python
  • Experience with SQL Server and MySQL schema, stored procedures etc.
  • Experience in API development
  • Experience with cloud-based computing preferably AWS technologies
  • Ability to work within a team environment and good verbal and written communication skills
