Senior consultant - Documentum

Provide technical and consultative leadership for Consulting solutions and implementation opportunities on a range of complex engagements, focused on an industry or service offering.  Responsibilities may include analyzing requirements, implementation, customization, integration and documentation for the customer, project management, change management, etc.  Works closely with services sales, pre-sales, project managers, other consulting personnel, and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode. Has ability to lead solution and proposal development once project goals and objectives have been defined. 

 

Plays critical role in the successful execution of all consulting engagements including evaluating customers’ strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions. Knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex technical solutions. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Capable of working with minimal supervision and begins taking on a “player/coach” role in supporting/connecting Business Management and General Delivery and Technical Consulting needs. Proficient in critical skillsets related to delivery, architecture, project management; can perform independently and will often mentor others.  Proven experience in successfully interacting with strategic customers at Management level, often required to participate in offering development and support. Has developed a deep understanding of one technology and/or industry area, and has good understanding of several others, inclusive of the methodology and approach required to successfully implement solution.  Can actively engage with clients and leverage relationships to identify additional opportunities to advance relationship or service propositions.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Delivery of technical architectural design, strategies and plans for engagements
  • Lead implementation teams to build application solutions and/or deploy software to facilitate client or partner engagements
  • Lead project team members in contributing to overall team success
  • Technical expert in leading pre-sales meeting or presentation
  • Able to assist in creating proposals that address current and evolving client requirements 
  • Provides technical leadership during the implementation of proposal and engagement  
  • Participates in the installation, customization, and integration of an Opentext solution  
  • Maintains awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware/systems situations
  • Works on complex projects and manages multiple work streams 
  • Develop well-structured, well-documented code
  • Complete high-quality written deliverables
  • Ability to supervise staff and plan/assign work on project engagements 
  • Work in conjunction with Opentext colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues
  • Keeps project manager informed of all activities, alerting on risks and issues promptly
  • Understands and adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures 
  • Validates requirements and functionality design and creates proposals that address current and evolving client requirements
  • Provides testing process and issue resolution as point of contact for technical questions

 

Experiences

  • At least 10 years’ experience with Documentum Products including D2,xCP,Records Manager, Taskspace, Process Suite, Forms Builder, Business Activity Monitor, Centerstage, SourceOne, Captiva, and/or and other OpenText products
  • Prior experience with document management technologies preferred
  • Experience as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining Documentum software.
  • Should have worked on Documentum upgrade projects involving repository migration/content migration/Infra migration or in place upgrade (Preferred).
  • Should have knowledge of Capture Solutions like Captiva/Intelligent Capture/OCR
  • Experience working in UNIX & Windows platform, monitoring Documentum services, log files and Troubleshooting
  • Expertise in Documentum Query Language, APIs, Documentum Foundation Classes, Documentum Foundation Service, Business Object Framework and Documentum Restful Service.
  • Knowledge working with Bank, Finance, Health Service, Energy and Engineering.
  • Understand Architecture Requirements and ensure effective system sizing, infrastructure elements
  • Documentum D2-Client and D2-Config Configuration Options and Customizations, Installation and Configuration of D2 and D2-Config.
  • Understanding the Requirements and Design Specifications according to Business.
  • Experience with formal, structured testing techniques
  • Build applications leveraging database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  • Hands on with tools like Documentum Composer, DAR Installer, Business Process Manager, Documentum Administrator, xPlore, Administration/ Configurations, xCP.
  • Proficient with DQL/ SQL, API, CTS and xPlore configurations, tomcat, JBoss, / WildFly, SQL Server, Scripting, Web Services (REST/ WSDL).
  • Experience with installation and configuration of Documentum product suite software like content server, repository, xPlore, CTS, DARs etc.
  • Hands on experience with code version control tools such as GitHub etc
  • Experience with deployment automation, cloud platforms and Load testing is a plus
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Microservices, Containers
  • Ability to lead the production calls and help troubleshoot the issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years java J2EE development experience with enterprise content management software
  • Experience in Documentum 6.7 and above or ECM solutions
  • Experience with IGC Brava
  • Experience with Weblogic 12c/ Jboss Application Server
  • Knowledge on EMC Documentum D2,xCP,BPM, ADTS and xPlore Index Server, SAP Archive Service
  • Experience with data encryption in transit and at rest
  • Experience with AD integration and SSO
  • Experience with change management within organizations
  • Work experience with electric utility organizations.
  • Install and configure Documentum and 3rd party components
  • ACL, Process Builder, Composer, API, and DQL
  • Experience with records management within Documentum
  • Expertise in developing custom business logic using Documentum business object framework.
  • Experience with developing workflows
  • Experience upgrading and patching custom Documentum systems
  • Experience with Captiva Designer 7.5 and above.
  • Experience with Documentum suite – Captiva Intelligent Capture, BPM, Hands on experience in customizing WDK, Webtop, Records Manager , Business Process Integrator with SOA, SOAP, CMIS and RESTful services, custom jobs etc.
  • Experience with JDK 1.7 and above
  • Expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems
