You Are Great at:

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to join our Enterprise/Field Sales Team responsible for covering Mid-size Enterprise accounts in the Western territory. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at all levels with technical and non-technical buyers (VP, C-Level). 

 

As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for developing and executing against a comprehensive account/territory plan and driving sales in a defined territory and/or account list to achieve revenue targets. The person in this role will also assist in creating and articulating compelling value propositions for OpenText’s Cyber Resiliency solutions. 

 

Additional responsibilities will include: 

  • Consistently build your own sales pipeline, qualify opportunities, and close new business 

  • Execute high-value sales cycles in a well-defined sales process and methodology 

  • Target key accounts and prospects, understand their complex organizations, and work with key stakeholders to win 

  • Collaborate with internal resources from sales engineers, finance, marketing, and product while quarterbacking successful sales plans 

  • Track pipeline and sales activity in Salesforce.com including accurate forecasts 

  • Manage contract negotiations. 

  • Able to forecast accurately and strategically within the target accounts. 

  • Aligning with channel partners on go-to-market strategy. 

 

What It Takes:

  • Bachelor's degree required. 

  • Must possess experience and enthusiasm for hunting for new customers (hunter mindset) 

  • 3-5+ years of experience selling Cyber Resiliency technology solutions into Small to mid-size enterprise accounts. 

  • Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles 

  • Superior Listening skills 

  • Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. 

  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, commission-driven sales environment 

  • Proven experience closing complex sales processes in enterprise B2B SaaS  

  • Demonstrated history of being a star performer and exceeding quota 

  • Track record of success leading in a “team selling” environment 

  • Comfort and poise selling at the executive level 

  • Strong presentation and communication skills via phone, email, web chat and in-person 

  • Ability to learn complex technical products and solutions 

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems and other productivity tools
