As a Senior Program Manager, you will be a member of the Professional Services implementation team-leading multiple complex projects/programs. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the implementation of OpenText’s solutions for Enterprise Content Management, Ecosystems, and other OpenText products in the US and/or across the globe. 

The Opportunity: 

The Senior Program Manager in the Professional Services organization is a key contributor to the achievement of department and regional goals and initiatives, managing the delivery of complex customer engagements. The Senior Program Manager drives the success of projects and programs to ensure customer satisfaction, establishing a solid working relationship and builds on that foundation to develop future engagements. In addition, the successful Senior Program Manager can work in a cross-department manner and is able to lead resources not under their direct control.

You are great at: 

•    Leading large complex projects / programs to successful completion.
•    Passionate about project management and able to stay focused on the big picture objectives, yet be detailed oriented
•    Managing all project management aspects of complex Client engagements including, but not limited to, forecasting of resource hours and revenue, tracking project financials, managing risks, project scope change and managing issues through to resolution
•    Leadership, including the ability to work with teams located across the globe, to achieve challenging objectives and meet critical deadlines 
•    Working with the Professional Services Resource Managers and other Project Managers to establish project resource needs, screen candidates both internal and external to the Professional Services team and co-ordinate project resources on a weekly basis
•    Managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously
•    Working with Customers, including scope and expectation management, issue resolution, change management and change control
•    Strengths including a high degree of integrity, endurance, tact, initiative and judgement
•    Ability to learn quickly, adapt quickly when priorities change, and follow defined project management methodology procedures
•    Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path and delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
•    Managing projects so that they are delivered on time, on budget, project delivery with minimal escalations and proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans
•    Supporting Professional Services Client Directors with business development in new and existing customers
•    Assisting in the creation of presentation materials including public forum presentations and internal presentations particularly for executive consumption
•    Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
•    Speaking and communicating to an audience of professionals in various industries including, Life Sciences, Financial, Commercial and Manufacturing
•    Working in a fast-paced environment.
•    Working outside of normal hours on occasion to meet project/program deadlines and support production go-live implementations


What it takes: 

•    Experience in a Professional Services environment managing large and mid-sized Enterprise Information Management or Enterprise Content Management solution projects
•    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent in Project Management, Information Technology or other Technological discipline (Engineering, Biochemistry, etc.). and either a PMI PMP or ACP certification. 
•    Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in project / program management
•    At least 7 years’ experience with large complex systems deployments in a Consulting type environment
•    Supporting qualifications AGILE, SCRUM, DASM, RUP an asset 
•    Experience working projects in a matrix environment, across industries
•    Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills
•    Experience negotiating through difficult project situations with customers and internal teams
•    Strong project accounting experience and skills.
•    Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
•    Experience delivering Content Server, Documentum, Vendor Invoice Management or other OpenText solutions is desired.
•    Ability to travel.  Travel can range from 10 – 35% depending upon the project/program requirements.
•    Strong Content Management technical skills 
•    Implementation experience in a cloud environment
