The Opportunity
Working within Cloud Delivery Services the Consultant is an individual contributor who acts as a primary point of contact for implementing customers’ requests regarding addition of new trading partners, document types, and connection types. In their work the Consultant utilize their ability to combine systems integration and service delivery knowledge. More specifically they will create/update technical specifications and create/update maps using OpenText translation software, carry out integration tasks to deploy maps to pre-production and production environments and setup Trading Partner connectivity using common communications standards such as ftp, http, AS2, SFTP, etc.
You are great at
- Acting as the technical lead or technical specialist in customer data integration projects.
- Defining and developing data integrations including planning, documentation, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying customer connections with trading partners.
- Interacting with customers to understand their business requirements and to develop and maintain good customer relations.
- Analyzing customer requirements, data integrations and interfaces.
- Implementing changes for existing data integrations.
- Follow policies and best practice mapping to define map rules based on client’s requirements.
- Create test case scenarios and write expected output according to specifications.
- Form test files according to the test case scenarios.
- Perform functional testing for each field/segment with change.
- Investigate and conduct root-cause-analysis for issues/defects raised by client during client testing.
- Deliver project status updates to clients, project managers and counterparts as necessary.
What it takes
Must have:
- BSc in Computer Science/other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of programming and experience e.g. JavaScript, Java, C#, C++, etc.
- Strong Customer focus, customer satisfaction oriented.
- Quick learner and able to retain a broad range of information in a rapid and complex technical environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to make sound and well-informed decisions and understand the impact and implications of decisions.
- Excellent problem solving skills and logical thinking techniques. Experience in identifying and analysing problems; distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions; providing solutions to individual and organizational problems. Develops reasonable options for solutions when required for decision making.
- Excellent Teamwork/Collaboration skills: Inspires and motivates others toward goal accomplishments; develops and sustains cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently.
- Good communication skills in Finnish and English.
Desirable:
- EDI standards (EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, X12, VDA, XML, IDoc), and B2B integration.
- EDI Mapping processes and Map Specifications.
- Communications standards such as ftp, AS2, https.
- Additional European language.
