POSITION OVERVIEW
System daily maintenance and administration to ensure the APAC environment is kept at its optimal operating levels at all times. Liaise with the US based NOC for escalations and system maintenance notifications. Produce custom system and customer reports.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day-to-day monitoring of systems
- On-call roster for the outside office hours
- Execute daily operational procedures
- Data Centre management
- Troubleshooting for all products over various platforms
- Reporting and escalating system issues
- Performing backup and archiving of jobs
- Attending to Global CEB calls
- Liaise with all levels of staff within the working environment
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 Year’s experience with Linux, Sun Solaris, Windows OS and Unix.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN concentrators.
- Working knowledge of WAN technologies.
- Working knowledge of network security and network design
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including network specific design tools such as Visio.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate concepts effectively to employees and customers. (In Japanese)
- Ability to effectively prioritize work load and tasks to effectively meet established deadlines.
- TOEIC 890 level English desirable
- Ability to write clear and accurate documentation, well organized, and has attention to detail.
- Willingness to provide support 24 X 7 either on location or on-call for any OpenText production issues.
- Be able to support the OpenText network remotely by use of secure VPN/Citrix technology.
