Position Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) implementation in Japan Professional Services. This includes working closely with technical team members to implement EDI for new customer implementations.

Also, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading the business process consulting for Web-EDI implementation in Japan Professional Services.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivery of solution implementation service and project management for our customers.  Also involve in solution and business process design consulting, technical evaluation, training, and project management to our client implementations.  Focus on analysis of client requirements and design of solutions that improve business productivity.  Major responsibilities include:

• Deliver implementation adhering to OPENTEXT project management process/methodology to assure consistent and standardized process and quality throughout the project
• Improve productivity of the project delivery and efficiently meet and manage client objectives and expectations
• Identify processes and conflict processes to create deliverables
• Manage relationships with clients and staff in the sales, IT, operations organization
• Provide technology and business process consultation 
• Work closely to support technology planning with our client
• Provide regular reporting for client and organizational leaders during project implementation
• Manage scheduling, cost control and changes

Qualifications:

• Native Japanese and reading and writing skill in English
• Minimum 10 years solid working experience in eBusiness solution delivery, IT consulting
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the role of Project Manager
• Project management and application development background in EDI implementation, use of EDI mapping tools, supply chain management, purchasing and procurement, logistics, banking solution
• Business acumen and ability to execute project solutions
• Dynamic Problem Solving skills with mind of customer focus
• Experience in project management or team leader
• Interpersonal skills and be able to manage complex relationships
• Communications skills – written, oral, executive presence
• Effective team player; ability to partner with sales and other cross-functional organizations
• Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer Science
