The OpenText On Demand Message (ODM) group is part of the Digital Experience unit and powered by the world’s largest business network in the Cloud. Our ODM team offers a set of solutions that facilitate efficient and secure messaging and management of information inside and outside of the organization. The world’s largest companies run in the OpenText Cloud that is supported 24/7 by our managed services team and enables 20 billion digital commerce transactions per year. 

The Opportunity:


On Demand Messaging is searching for an Account Executive reporting to Senior Manager, Sales. This role has the following responsibility:

The Account Executive is responsible for achieving sales quota by selling ODM products and services to Mid-Market (<$500M annual revenue) and Healthcare Industry. They must maintain corporate standards for various sales metrics such as pipeline size, salesforce record accuracy and currency and other corporate administrative objectives and goals.


You Are Great At:


* Seek new accounts (new logos/white space) through prospecting the target market of Mid-Market with <$500M annual revenue and <$250M annual revenue for Healthcare providers.   Also upgrade OT existing software accounts to a cloud or hybrid solution.

* Develop and implement territory plans which will exceed MCV goals

* Manage $1.4 million quota

* Develop a target list and utilize corporate resources to identify and close key opportunities

* Forecasting

* Negotiate contracts

* Build and maintain a sales pipeline at corporate standard of 3x quota

* Utilize and update the Salesforce and provide timely feedback on requested reports



What It Takes:


* Proactive, outbound new business sales capability and track record in cloud service sales space

* Independent, self-starter with excellent matrix management skills

* Ability to manage, grow and develop a large pipeline of opportunities

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

* Positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude towards work

* Strong problem solving, forecasting and organizational (including matrix management) skills

* Comfortable dealing with technical and contractual issues

* Experience (and ability to) selling Cloud, License and Professional services solutions, ideally (Digital Fax, email, SMS, voice) messaging oriented

* At least 3 years of successive new business sales experience

* History proved positive for attaining goals in the last 2-3 years


Targeted annual base compensation starts at $79,900 plus Variable Commission in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Compensation may vary based on experience and professional level.
