Account Executive -

                                                                             

OpenText, a worldwide, trusted developer of software based Unified Communications solutions for over 30 years, is currently seeking an experienced individual─passionate and driven about selling Unified Communications solutions─to join our growing sales team.

 

This person must:

 

  • Support and drive business through the OPENTEXT Elite Partners in the territory
  • Thrive in a high-energy environment that rewards entrepreneurial spirit
  • Be a capable problem solver, strong time manager,  and a value added, trusted resource for the reseller channel
  • Adept at working in an indirect selling model supporting assigned channel partners

 

OPENTEXT’s “CX-E” branded solutions fill critical requirements for communications solutions for businesses of all sizes. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will help drive sales, through the OPENTEXT Elite Resellers, by developing and executing a multi-state territory sales plan, and by leveraging a virtual team of technical resources, inside sales resources and executive management.

 

Responsibilities will include annual revenue quota attainment through identification, qualification and selling OPENTEXT software solutions to key prospective accounts, through an indirect channel, within the territory and growth of existing targeted key installed base accounts.

 

  • Develop and continually cultivate a thorough understanding and knowledge of the OPENTEXT solution set, both from a solution selling standpoint and technical proficiency standpoint.
  • Generate a regional business plan to ensure broad penetration into OPENTEXT Elite Resellers within your assigned territory.
  • Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
  • Provide custom presentations and demonstrations on OPENTEXT’s Enterprise Solutions.
  • Develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive sales environment.
  • Engage, manage and direct a virtual team during the sales cycle.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partner relationship with OPENTEXT Elite Reseller partners.
  • Hunt new business opportunities, continuously manage and report on sales activity and sales pipeline via sf.com, effectively forecast opportunities, and close sales within your assigned territory.
  • Demonstrate ongoing technical understanding of the CX suite of applications and the competition.

 

Experience:

     

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the Unified Communications, Data Networking, and Telecommunications, Video Conferencing or Collaboration space.
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets of $2m+ with the ability to define how those successes were achieved.
  • Existing relationships with influencers and decision maker in assigned territory preferred. Must have been selling into the assigned geography for the past 5 years.

 

Industry Experience:   

 

  • Must have strong working knowledge/experience in Premise Based telecommunications, voice processing, unified messaging and presence technologies.
  • Experience selling larger enterprise voice related solutions and services preferred.
  • Understanding of the Cloud model and virtualization for enterprise resiliency.

 

 

Relationship Management:

 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships are required. Experienced candidates must have a demonstrable track record of past success in selling in a channel sales model as well as direct end user environment.

 

Communication Skills:   

 

  • Must have the ability to explain technical systems, coupled with the ability to demo a technical product to network and telecom engineers and senior management.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to present professionally to all levels within an organization are required.
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and sf.com.

 

Self-Starter:     

 

  • Successful candidates will be results oriented, self-motivated, and extremely organized.

 

Travel:

 

  • Must be willing to travel, 40%-50% travel expected.

 

Education: 

 

  • BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience required.
