Joining Vertica Sales means taking on the role of an experienced sales professional, tasked with driving software sales within our existing customer base. Your focus will be on upselling, cross-selling, and acquiring new customers. Building strong relationships, networking within accounts, and collaborating with the wider team are crucial. You'll sell our big data analytics platform to IT and Business management, securing license software sales and strengthening Vertica's market presence.

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  1. Experience in hunting new accounts
  2. Create and manage sales pipeline.
  3. Stay informed about competitors to improve product positioning.
  4. Utilize expertise to find and develop new opportunities.
  5. Development of quota objectives and future direction for product category.
  6. Build professional relationships with clients, including C-level executives.
  7. Collaborate with external partners for sales.
  8. Enhance existing opportunities to drive pursuit.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Relevant work experience necessary.
  3. Track record of meeting increasing quotas and engaging with diverse customers.
  4. Extensive sales experience in Data Analytics industry.
  5. Software sales experience typically expected.
  6. Preferably product sales in specialties like Big Data, Business Intelligence, etc.
