The Opportunity
This role is an opportunity to work in a vital and revenue-generating team within Business Networks of OpenText. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be an Implementation Engineer, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining connections between OpenText clients and their trading partners. These connections are used to trade business data, enabling OpenText’s clients to engage in e-commerce around the world with business partners in a variety of markets. You will work within OpenText’s proprietary data integrations platforms to receive, route, transform, and deliver data digitally between multiple parties.
This is a role of solving puzzles, organizing activities strategically, being creative, and leveraging both internal and external/open-sourced technologies to solve the puzzle at hand. You must understand the environment and the platform, the limitations, and flexibilities that it offers, and how you can organize and build its individual pieces to serve the requirement of the Client. You will encounter technologies you have not experienced before and be challenged to learn and remain flexible.
You Are Great At
- Being a self-starter, team player, result driven and possess the ability to multitask
- Act as a technical expert regarding integration and connectivity methods, protocols, security, and practices for both internal and external customers
- Provide the highest level of service through communication, which will include discussion of customer information, connectivity parameters, and validation of data
- Recognize reusable procedures, templates, documents, models, etc. for broader “best practice” use
- Gather and provide information to help develop accounts and support account relationships
What It Takes
- 4+ years of experience in Technical Support or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Experience with detailed business requirement gathering and creating functional specifications
- Experience with internet connectivity protocols (SFTP, FTP(s), HTTP(s), SMTP, etc...)
- Knowledge of encryption, security, and cipher suites (TLS, SSL, PGP, Public Key encryption, etc.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably shell, XSL, Bash and JavaScript
- Relational database experience, preferably Oracle
