The Opportunity:

OpenText Professional Services has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join the team as a Senior Consultant. This role offers growth opportunities to a person who is willing to learn multiple OpenText products, solutions, and methodologies. Job responsibilities include applying business and technical skills, as well as consulting methodologies, to collect and evaluate requirements, configure and implement solutions based on OpenText products. This position is focused on implementing solutions using OpenText’s industry-leading technology. 


 You're great at:

  • Delivering solutions with assurance and high-quality deliverables.
  • Building applications and/or deploying software solutions for customers.
  • Understanding and translating customer business requirements into a solution design.
  • Developing well-structured and well-documented code.
  • Contributing to project documentation, including, but not limited to: requirements document; technical design; test plans; and knowledge transfer documentation.
  • Demonstrating strong customer facing skills, by building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Participating in presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations to a mixed audience of technical, business, and management staff.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and submitting weekly activity/progress reports and time recording reports in accordance with published procedures.


What it takes:

  • Technical consulting and/or software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / equivalent or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently, while being part of a dynamic team.
  • A working knowledge of one or more supporting technologies: Windows Servers & Clients, Unix, Active Directory, Microsoft business applications (including O365), Networking, and Databases.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Angular, React, REST, Spring Boot, Shell Scripting, HTML5, XML, JSP, Python, ABAP.
  • Knowledge of OpenText products or other Content Management systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud providers such as AWS, GCP and Azure, is an advantage.
  • Travel is a requirement of this position.
