The position will report to the Director for the Global Payroll Projects team focusing on:
- Continuous support and implementation of Global Payroll operational initiatives working with all stakeholders in EMEA, APJ, Americas & India. This includes the assessment/implementation of best practices, allowing for clear operational gains from these best practices. The candidate must bring sound experience in global Payroll and HR transactions to achieve the expectations in relation to delivering global business results and identified synergies.
- Own other key payroll processes as follows:
- Acting as a Payroll Reporting SME charged with creating and maintaining an up-to-date library of payroll reports, some of which may involve including HR-related data.
- Own the creation and operational processes surrounding an Executive Payroll area in the US and Canada. This will involve working closely with payroll operations, Ernst & Young, and in some cases 3rd party accounting firms in the generation of payroll entries for ELT members at OpenText and ensuring accurate handling of cross-board tax implications where applicable
- Creating and maintaining a Global KPI reporting dashboard that will measure the operational effectiveness of Global Payroll, and which can then be used as part of a larger HR/Organizational Effective dashboard for regular reporting to Senior Management.
- Own the payroll operational impacts of an Acquisition, Legal Entity Merger and Payroll Vendor Changes.
- Other Operational duties as required.
You Are Great At:
- Utilizing your global payroll process and system-related experiences in working with global payroll teams to review, assess, and provide operational solutions needed for the respective payroll systems and processes, ensuring a path for effective solutions for the operational changes where required.
- Assist the geography Payroll teams in the effort to implement operational changes coordinating and performing in-depth systems testing, enhancements, deployment, training and sign-off.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of all Payroll process maps and documentation for the implementation of any required payroll change.
- Acting in a collaborative manner with key stakeholders in the various geographies in the performance of your continuous improvement role.
- Provide support to Payroll Specialists for payroll operations where needed
- Provide continuous support on payroll systems and process improvements
- Support other special payroll and business-related projects and activities as required.
What It Takes:
- Global payroll experience in process improvement planning and implementations (5-7 years)
- Functional experience in Business Requirements, Operational Process mapping, Analyzing, Testing, and payroll implementations
- Business Process Development & Documentation and Payroll training globally to meet predefined changes.
- Building consensus with payroll operations and other key stakeholder teams to effectively analyze/implement process improvements.
- 3-5 years of ADP Globalview, Streamline, and Celergo experience along with an advanced understanding of SAP SuccessFactors, and other payroll platforms.
- Knowledge of Executive Payroll Best Practices, and cross-border tax rules
- Excellent understanding of the complete payroll cycle including payroll reconciliations.
- Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to teamwork.
- Payroll and/or other professional certifications preferred
