The OpenText Content Professional Services Practice is searching for a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our Content team as a Lead Technical Consultant. The Lead Technical Consultant applies business & technical skills, as well as consulting methodologies, to collect and analyze information to design, configure and implement Open Text solutions based on unique customer requirements. This position is focused on Enterprise accounts with an emphasis on the Open Text InfoArchive product. #LI-Remote #INDOT

 

This role works closely with customers and other Professional Service Consultants in the delivery of Open Text engagements, as well as with the Account Executives, Solution Consultants and Strategic Partners throughout the sales and delivery cycles.

 

You're great at:

  • Delivering Professional Services engagements with confidence and high quality.
  • Demonstrating technical leadership with OpenText Infoarchive or other products with similar data archiving functionalities. Some areas of proficiency may include:
    • System sizing and Architecture Design
    • Capturing archiving requirements
    • Performing data discovery/analysis in source system
    • Converting requirements into design
    • Building Application using best practices
    • Application decommissions or data archiving
    • In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
      • Experience with Oracle, SQL*Server, DB2 and PostgreSQL are beneficial.
  • Installation and system sizing are not responsibilities of this role, but knowledge in these areas is considered nice to have.
  • Effectively communicating through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding and translating customer business requirements into a solution that best utilizes Open Text product functionality.
  • Leading and/or contributing to the development of a solution design and/or strategic deployment roadmap.
  • Working in conjunction with Open Text colleagues to implement technical configurations.
  • Contributing to project documentation, including, but not limited to requirements document, technical design, test plans, and knowledge transfer documentation. 
  • Participating on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Delivering presentations, workshops, and live demonstrations to a mixed audience of technical, business, and management staff.
  • Demonstrating strong customer facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long term benefits for both companies.
  • Mentoring junior consultants on solutions, technology, and delivery of OpenText Content projects.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and submitting weekly activity/progress reports and time recording reports in accordance with published procedures.
  • Interacting with sales, services and partners to scope project efforts, create estimates and respond to RFPs.

 

What it takes:

  • The candidate should have 8+ years of professional experience in implementing medium to complex ERP or ECM solutions.
  • Preferable experience with Open Text InfoArchive or one of the archiving products like JIVS, Solix, Informatica, IBM Optim.
  • Multiple years of experience with Java, XML, and REST services  
  • Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently, while being part of a dynamic team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of on-premises and cloud enterprise software deployments.
  • A solid grasp of a variety of technologies that include development languages, tools, web-based technology that could be involved in an OpenText solution.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to Open Text’s internal standards and best practices for consistent, high quality project delivery.
  • Travel is a requirement of this position.
  • This is a revenue generating position.

For New York,Colorado and California residents, this job is expected to pay a minimum of  $125,000/annum  in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
