The Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient Director, OpenText Discovery Private Cloud & Enterprise to lead our private cloud services team, focusing on targeting Enterprise customers with our cutting-edge legal technology solutions. This role involves managing client services, supporting cloud implementations, ideating and delivering technical solutions, and overseeing project management for clients using our private cloud product. This Leader will play a critical part in targeting and onboarding new enterprise and large law firm clients and will be responsible for growing Axcelerate Private Cloud revenue and margin, developing and maintaining private cloud contracts and customer relationships, and driving the development of enterprise solutions tailored to our customers’ specific needs to drive retention and growth.
You Are Great At
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team responsible for overseeing client services and customer success for our Axcelerate private cloud customers.
- Business Objectives & KPIs: Own and drive business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the success and growth of our private cloud subscriptions and services and improving our margins.
- Cost Estimates & Infrastructure Scoping: Develop and maintain cost estimates and infrastructure scoping for deploying private cloud environments, ensuring they align with client needs, budgetary constraints, and OpenText revenue and margin requirements.
- Contract Management: Oversee the commercial and technical aspects of private cloud contracts, including the creation and maintenance of contract templates, negotiation, and handling redlines.
- Enterprise Solutions Development: Drive the development of enterprise solutions, including custom automation, reporting and dashboards, and data reuse functionality in collaboration with the product team.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the senior subject matter expert on all product features, acting as a customer advocate for requested critical functionality.
- Customer Success Initiatives: Lead customer success initiatives for all private cloud clients, catering to a diverse range of customer types and use cases. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and overseeing the renewal process for all private pod customers.
- Financial Forecasting: Regularly forecast the financial aspects related to private cloud customers, including subscription, overage, and services revenue.
- Pre-Sales Support: Engage in pre-sales activities, including internal sales consulting, technical support for Account Executives, customer interaction, and evaluation of pricing requests.
- Billing Models and Custom Pricing Proposals: Develop custom pricing models tailored to specific customer needs and scenarios, addressing budgetary restrictions and accommodating required margins.
- Escalation Point: Act as the escalation point for private cloud customers facing technical or other significant delivery issues.
What It Takes
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in cloud services, with a focus on private cloud environments, legal technology solutions, and enterprise-level client services. Axcelerate experience is a significant advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Deep understanding of private cloud infrastructure and legal technology.
- Proven track record in contract management, including contract negotiation and redlining.
- Experience with developing and managing complex billing models.
- Expertise in pre-sales support and custom pricing development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalations and critical issues.
