The Opportunity:
As part of OpenText’s Total Rewards function and directly reporting into Global Payroll, this role will directly assist the Manager, Stock Options and ESPP Programs in the administration of our global stock Equity and Employee Stock Purchase (ESPP) programs.
OpenText Payroll and Stock Administration are part of a fast-paced financial environment where the administration and controls related to these programs need to be accurate, timely, and the ability to scale to increasing levels of participation. You will work closely with our 3rd party stock administration partner, Shareworks, and their stock equity platform,
You are Great At:
• Ensuring the database is accurate and current for the recording of all ongoing stock equity programs (RSU’s, PSU’s, Options and ESPP), uploading new participants and terminations as provided by HR and Global Compensation.
• Ensure global equity reporting and compliance with international tax and regulatory requirements through the use of Shareworks Global Compliance.
• Use the Shareworks platform to ensure all equity plan transactions (grants, exercises, dispositions, etc.) are correctly processed in a timely manner. Assist the Manager in the generation and reconciliations of monthly, quarterly reporting to internal and external stakeholders (including board reporting)
• Work with the regional global payroll managers in the administration of quarterly ESPP offerings and related procedural steps (e.g., payroll deductions, taxation, monitoring participation limits, refunds) etc as defined in our Stock Equity Program plans)
• Respond to questions from employees regarding their equity
• Assist VP, Compensation in developing global equity education programs
What It Takes:
• 2-5 years of progressive stock administration experience in a global public company.
• Experience working with Morgan Stanley Shareworks is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (vlookup) due to large volumes of data
• Experience with the administration of and financial workings of variable compensation programs highlighted above
• Ability to work with independently, as well as with cross-function teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with stock plan administration preferred
• Accounting / finance background preferred
