As a Business Networks Project Manager, you will be joining a team with a broad range of Project Management experience, that is responsible for managing multiple concurrent global community/supplier/implementation projects for Open Text customers. You will act on behalf of the customer to communicate with and manage the supplier community, with the goal of maximizing the value that the customer realizes from the solutions purchased. This will include managing the engagement with our customers trading community, supporting the development of clear communications and working to ensure that the customers partners are in a position to exchange EDI messages with the client’s ecommerce solution. The Project Manager is required to plan and manage the overall workstream, including managing all resources, organising and allocating tasks, providing management reporting both internally and externally to ensure a timely project delivery.
What You Are Great At:
- Planning and Organizing. You will be able to quickly understand the scope of the Project workstreams assigned to you and be able to turn that into a sequence of activities that can be allocated to individuals and you can track to completion.
- Communicating clearly with team members and colleagues, to ensure that everyone understands the Project scope and goals and is working to achieve the same aims.
- Communicating clearly with OpenText customers, both verbally and in formal reports, to keep them updated on progress, any challenges being encountered and progress against the overall project plans.
- Identifying challenges as they occur and, working with the team and SME’s, devising solutions that allow these to be overcome. In addition, you will be able identify where challenges might be encountered and put plans in place to pro-actively address these.
- Managing multiple workstreams concurrently, probably for multiple clients, and are able to prioritize tasks ensuring Customer satisfaction.
- Following proven methodologies and ensuring that project standards and best practices are being followed.
- Gaining an understanding of your customers Business Needs, and ensuring that your projects work to support these, within the boundaries set by the Statement of Works.
- Controlling change to ensure that the Projects scope, effort estimates and budgets are met, and any deviations are documented and agreed.
What it takes to excel:
- First Project Management experience
- Strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of OpenText Products and Services, especially in Business Networks/Managed Service area is a plus
- Knowledge of EDI and OpenText commercial connectivity protocols is a plus
