The Opportunity


As an ECM Lead Consultant, you will be part of the Professional Services Content Practice team. The focus will be on delivering consulting services in the areas of Documentum suite, InfoArchive and other major OpenText technologies and help our clients achieve a high return on investments. You will be working with our global clients including Italy as primary.


What it takes


As a lead technical consultant in an international environment and a multi-cultural organization, you are acting together with our customers and technical experts.

  • Analyze business processes and define optimization potential
  • Be responsible for moderating and steering the process to clarify the functional and technical requirements together with our customers, analyze technical environments and develop best practice implementations for our solutions
  • Depending on your experience, you can innovate to improve existing customer solutions
  • Advise specific industry customers to make the best of their existing Opentext implementations involving Documentum, D2, xCP, InfoArchive among others
  • Execute technical delivery for the projects from conception to rollout
  • Organize and drive workshop at the customer site
  • Analyze business needs of client and design solutions
  • Configure and test OpenText systems to reflect designed solutions
  • Guide user training for implemented solutions
  • Drive support users during testing and deployment
  • Be responsible for the creation of project documentation
  • Coordinate with customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Support sales/presales activities
  • Have a proven experience (6-8 years+) with the majority of relevant Opentext products)
  • Be proficient in English language
  • Have an open mindset and willing to learn and get certified on our technologies
  • Have university/college degree, ideally in computer science or business administration or several years of relevant experience as a Consultant
  • Demonstrate hands-on working with mainstream OSes & preferably with at least one Database in the developer role
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience or awareness in any or all the OpenText Content Server platform, Documentum suite of products, and InfoArchive. Appworks would be a nice addition. Knowledge of OpenText products is essential for the position
  • Deliver consultancy experience and ability to facilitate client workshops
  • Demonstrate ability to work with competing demands by prioritizing to achieve project goals
  • Support sales cycle activities
  • Have excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate your analytical and conceptual skills, your planning and organizational skills as well as a cooperative and goal-oriented way of conducting work
  • Bring creativity in problem-solving, solution-oriented work, and high self-motivation
  • Guarantee availability to travel, as needed by the project – both in Italy and abroad


You are great at 


  • Interpreting business process requirements and producing technical specifications, project documentation and coordinate development activities with global development teams
  • Providing leadership to analyst and mapping teams by setting priorities, technical direction and ensuring consistent quality deliverables and best practices are followed
  • Taking ownership and work through non-standard problems through to resolution
  • Performing all job functions independently with minimal direction and supervision
  • Working cross-functionally to define implementation design and functional requirements
  • Working on multiple and complex projects concurrently
  • Identifying and resolving issues during unit and customer acceptance testing
  • Documenting status reports and escalating issues to the Project Manager/Delivery Manager
