The Opportunity

The Managed Services Lead Consultant will provide accurate, timely technical support for OpenText Software to Managed Services customers primarily remote via telephone, E-mail and online. The Consultant will deal with support issues that are complex in nature, carry differing priorities and that must be addressed within predetermined service levels, so the Consultant must be adept at balancing multiple priorities.  The callers will expect enterprise-level support; therefore, the Consultant will need to be well-versed technically, and fully understand customer service concepts. Other objectives are to collect and report upon information gathered from incidents; and to interface with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support/DEV and others as necessary. In addition, the Lead Consultant will carry out projects as assigned by the management staff, cooperate with other Managed Services Consultants in carrying out their day-to-day duties, and represent OpenText in a visibly supportive manner.


You Are Great At

  • Experience supporting OpenText InfoArchive or other products with similar data archiving functionalities. Some areas of proficiency may include:
    • Application decommissions or data archiving
    • Experience with Data Extract Transform Load (ETL) process
    • Knowledge with ETL tools
  • Experience with Archiving Structure and Unstructured data
  • Installation and system sizing are not responsibilities of this role, but knowledge in these areas is considered nice to have.
  • Effectively communicating through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working in conjunction with OpenText colleagues to implement technical configurations.
  • Demonstrating strong customer facing skills by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and translating them into long term benefits for both companies.
  • Interacting with sales, services and partners to scope project efforts, create estimates and respond to RFPs.


What It Takes

  • The candidate should have 5+ years of professional experience in implementing or supporting medium to complex ECM solutions.
  • Preference will be given for experience supporting Documentum Content Server, D2, Documentum Record Manager and/or Captiva
  • Competency with Open Text InfoArchive or one of the archiving products like Solix, Informatica, IBM Optim.
  • Experience with Java, XML, xQuery and REST services
  • Highly professional team player with the ability to work independently, while being part of a dynamic team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of on-premises and cloud enterprise software deployments.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to Open Text’s internal standards and best practices for consistent, high-quality delivery.
