Job description

As part of the Product team, the Product Manager plays an important role in providing the overall direction and success of the company’s software products.   The Product Manager will be responsible for the forward velocity and efficient planning, overall direction, definition, and communication of the company’s software products aligned with the company’s organizational goals.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Product Vision and Roadmap - Collect and receive input on product direction from all sources (Customers, Sales, Executives, Employees, Marketplace, Publications) and distill that information into a coherent and well defined product vision and roadmap.  Articulate that product vision throughout the company so that it is well understood by all.  Champion the vision, roadmap, and alignment at all times going forward.
  • Product Requirements and Delivery - Deliver on the product roadmap by producing well formed product requirements that meet the needs of software development.  Partner and continually foster a productive relationship with the Software Development Team to create an efficient and effective software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Critical Path - Focus on delivering the critical path work, eliminate unnecessary work or steps.  Take risks and avoid being slowed by completeness or perfection.  Identify and prioritize must-haves, deprioritize nice-to-haves.
  • Market Evaluation - Gather and analyze competition and market trends to help define company’s position in the market.
  • Product Launch - Participate in the creation of go-to-market strategies and assist with carrying out product launches. This includes pricing, positioning, forecasting, competitive market research/analysis, and development of sales collateral and promotional content.
  • Efficient Work - Collaborate with your peers to create clear lines of communication, responsibility, escalation and ownership especially when dealing with issues related to the product direction or definition.



  • Industry Knowledge - Preferred, but not necessary, an expert level understanding of the broad E-Discovery, Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), and EDRM marketplace.
  • Analytical Thinking - Leveraging data from various sources such as customer & market research, user feedback, customer usage, and competitive analysis to make more informed product decisions.
  • Collaboration - Strong experience working in cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.  Product management extends beyond a single department because the members must communicate with and coordinate across all parts of the company.
  • Communication - Speak, write, and present clearly and consistently.  Exceptional debate skills, sound judgment and “best outcome” oriented decision-making experience.
  • Ownership - Exhibit an appropriate sense of constructive energy and focus.



  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an product management role
  • Minimum of 2+ years with extensive hands-on experience in business intelligence reports (designing, developing, testing and deploying reports) with a good understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Preferred, but not necessary, experience in the e-discovery industry either working in a corporation’s general counsel office, law firm, or service provider capacity
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to understand and envision how the viewports may be used by different stakeholder populations
  • Proven ability to effectively create consensus and communicate across various internal and external constituencies
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and market events


BA or BS degree in business management, marketing, computer science, or similar field.  Graduate degree preferred.
