The Opportunity
This position will focus on VMware/Hyper-V/AWS/Azure Cloud Infrastructure automation and operations. Strong background as a Software Developer with expertise in application-level automation using standard DevOps tools comparable in both Cloud platforms like Jenkins, Ansible, Github, Chef, terraform experience are a most to have.
You Are Great At
• Contributor to the team with technical automation initiative in AWS for Containers, Serverless, using AWS native automation tools (Cloud Formation, ECS, EKS/Fargate).
• Experience managing and operating Azure cloud platform including Azure cloud services, Azure storage, IIS, Azure active directory, Azure resource management, Azure VM, Blob Storage, SQL Database, Azure Files and Azure Functions, Azure service bus and experience in Azure Availability and Scalability.
• Build and deploy automated software deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, monitoring tools like Zabbix and New Relic, and various automated tasks to increase reliability.
• Support selection of DevOps toolchain services through hands-on research, evaluation, and proof-of-concept work related to AWS/Azure automation capabilities.
• Work as a member of DevOps team to integrate any automation initiative into DevOps standard CICD pipelines standards.
• Help operationalize and support the DevOps toolchain.
• Work across a diverse set of stakeholders to understand unique team needs and develop creative solutions that help increase the velocity of software delivery.
• Be a vocal advocate for automation and help build a culture of DevOps across different teams.
• Document best practices to support the broader software engineering community at Paya.
• Versatile scripter for administration, operations, and monitoring tasks
What It Takes
• 4+ years of Technical DevOps developing automation code (CICD) experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in Software Engineering.
• Skills in programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Java, Groovy, json, or similar.
• 5+ years of Systems Orchestration/CICD Jenkins (Mandatory), Ansible (Mandatory), Chef, Git (Github), Artifactory,
• Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows OS: deployment, management, solving issues on the platform and security.
• 3+ years’ experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including experience with Terraform (Mandatory). Experience should be with building platforms, not just managing environments.
• Minimum 3+ years hands on experience in AWS operations with focus in automation. AWS IAM, AWS Lambda, EC2, Load Balancer, Serverless Framework, AWS RDS, Aurora, Postgres, MSSQL), EC2, IAM, VPC, RDS With Replication, S3 for Object and Static Webpages, Auto Scaling of Micro Services like ECS, ELB.
• Minimum 3+ years hands on experience managing and operating Azure cloud platform with focus in automation including Azure cloud services, Azure storage, IIS, Azure active directory, Azure resource management, Azure VM, Blob Storage, SQL Database, Azure Files and Azure Functions, Azure service bus and experience in Azure Availability and Scalability.
• Experience on application-level automation development mainly on .net, java, C++, react, Node.js, serverless technology desired.
• 2+ years’ Experience with orchestration/automation with container engines such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience building cloud solutions through the console in AWS, Azure, GCP and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines
• Experience in Monitoring tools like Zabbix, New Relic and SolarWinds.
