Lead Solution Consultant (Life Sciences)

Life Sciences Lead Solution Consultant

 

This Lead Consultant will be part of OpenText’s Life Sciences Division to partner with our Lead LS Architect on complex client engagements that will include but not limited to the implementation of a new system, upgrade of an existing system, customization/configuration of an existing system, consolidation of multiple systems into one and document migration. The candidate must also be able to consult and communicate with customers at the project level from a business process and life sciences domain best practices perspective.  This person will be working hand in hand with a life sciences technical architect to lead customers through the best practice implementation of one or more modules of the Open Text Documentum Life Sciences Solution Suite. Understanding both the functional and business process aspects of the Documentum Life Sciences solutions on our own and/or will act as a business analyst lead to provide functional and domain guidance during complex engagements focused on consulting solutions offered by OpenText.

 

What you will be doing,

  • Leading a team of technical architects and consultants
  • Working with project managers and providing inputs during the planning phase
  • Leading workshops and customer meetings to gather requirements with customers and other technical leads
  • Leading quality outputs for solution implementation planning, design, configuration, development, testing, and overall technical delivery within a project’s timeline
  • Authoring project documentation
  • Managing deliverables and activities to complete for fellow technical team members
  • Supporting the system during development, testing, and after go-live to perform root cause analysis of any technical issues, to assist the technical lead in providing a solution in a timely manner and address any business/functional questions from the customers
  • Providing suggested enhancements to the Life Sciences Product Management team based on customer feedback and industry trends and implementation experience
  • Helping with the growth of existing client relationships by being a trusted advisor as a technical lead resource
  • Keeping up to date with ever-evolving ECM and Life Science Solution technologies

 

All about you,

  • Life Sciences industry experience, with business process knowledge of document management, training management and document publishing is a plus.
  • Strong team member that excels at both written and verbal forms of communication to varying degrees of audience
  • Experience with Documentum Content Server, D2, Open Text Documentum Life Sciences Solution Suite (LS Q&M, LS R&D, LS SSV, LS TMF), D2-Config, Brava, and Blazon or similar
  • able understand both the functional and business process aspects of the Documentum Life Sciences solutions
  • Independent, confident self-starter able to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Highly motivated and ethical
  • Goal-oriented to achieve business objectives
  • Able to work in a matrixed team environment
  • Able to travel in North America
  • Having Documentum Certification is a plus
