Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Solution Consultant specializing in Application Security Solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales teams to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, demonstrating how OpenText application security solutions meet and exceed customer requirements. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that clients and prospects understand the value of our solutions, particularly around securing software development lifecycles (SDLC) and application vulnerability management.

 

This position requires a deep understanding of application security and software security assurance, including static and dynamic analysis tools, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.

 

You will be at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing segments in the security market. Fortify is ranked market leader in Application Security by Gartner.

 

Responsibilities:

•   Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions using our cybersecurity products.

•   Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to showcase the capabilities and benefits of OpenText cybersecurity products.

•   Provide technical guidance and support to customers throughout the sales cycle, addressing any technical concerns or questions.

•   Develop and maintain a deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity products, including their features, functionalities, and integration capabilities.

•   Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and other sales-related documents.

•   Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the cybersecurity space.

•   Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our solutions and engage with potential customers.

 

Key qualifications and skills:

    • 5+ years of pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Cybersecurity solutions.
    • Proven track record of leading technical demos, conducting PoCs, and delivering successful application security solutions for clients.
    • Familiarity with SAST, DAST and IAST tools.
    • Strong understanding of application security frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST) and ability to apply them in real-world environments.
    • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including how security integrates into CI/CD pipelines and secure software development lifecycles (SDLC).
    • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, .NET) and a good understanding of common security vulnerabilities like SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.
    • Experience with application security tools (e.g., OpenText Fortify, Veracode, Checkmarx, Synopsys or similar solutions).
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a presales or technical consulting role, preferably within the cybersecurity industry.
    • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity products, including hands-on experience with their deployment and configuration.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
    • Fluency in Portuguese & English, Spanish fluency desirable.

 

  • Certifications Desired:
    • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CSSLP, or relevant security credentials will be very valuable.
    • Certifications or courses in specific application security products (e.g., Fortify, Veracode) are advantageous.
