The Opportunity:

We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager that is passionate about continuous improvement to join us in transforming how we develop and operate our external websites. You understand the importance of a “test and learn” culture and of making data-driven decisions. You are driven by organizational success and recognize when to coach vs. when to roll up your sleeves. You’ll work with a diverse set of developers and cloud solutions in a fast-paced organization that is totally committed to customer success.


You Are Great At:

  • Working with business partners to understand technology needs, develop a technical roadmap and set priorities for the team.
  • Team leadership: establishing clear goals and priorities for the team, coaching and mentoring team members for high performance.
  • Software lifecycle management: from requirements through design, build, test and deployment. Documenting the solution and supporting business team with training and other enablement activities.
  • Business analysis: working with end users to document their business requirements and translate those into functional requirements and system design.
  • Familiarity with a wide-breadth of technologies; web-based applications, on premise and Cloud solutions.
  • Establishing devops pipelines and processes to enable infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, artifact/container registries, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Site Reliability Engineering including availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.


What It Takes: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or a related area of study or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in application development and/or systems administration.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing technical teams.
  • Business analysis, project management, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests, make assignments to team members, track progress and provide team leadership.
  • Experience with pipeline tools such as Docker, GitLab, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, Qualys, Artifactory, Kubernetes and New Relic.
  • Experience with web development and web team leadership:
    • Web Services (RESTful and/or SOAP).
    • Java, MS .NET, C#.
    • HTML5, XML, CSS3, Servlets, JavaScript and JQuery.
    • Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and/or Oracle PL-SQL.
    • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, Vue JS.
    • Familiarity with server-side languages such as PHP.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft IIS, Apache, Tomcat.
  • Experience with OpenText products including TeamSite, Media Management, Alloy Integration and Identity & Access Management would be nice to have.
