Who we are:

We are the Global Accounts World-Wide Presales Chief Technologist Team, a team dedicated to the success of our largest global account program customers.

We are seeking a Presales Chief Technologist, fluent in German and English, to join our North America / Europe Team. We seek highly self-motivated candidates with outstanding Presales presence, soft skills and technical acumen to partner with our Global Account Directors and many other supporting roles as the lead account technical strategist/generalist for all OpenText products and corresponding functional areas. 

 

The Presales Chief Technologist will:

  • Become the lead internal account technical strategist and technical partner of assigned account GADs.
  • Understand our customers install base and functional area technical landscape, 
  • Build and maintain trusted technical advisor relationships and develop champions by delivering value and earning trust.
  • Collaborate / consult with many internal account-team and supporting members from many different business units.
  • Align technical strategy and solutions to our customers enterprise and business objectives / initiatives.
  • Participate in account planning and development of opportunity and account strategy execution plans. 
  • Lead and/or participate in customer technical cadence calls and discovery calls.
  • Collect customer information and maintain key internal account context deliverables.
  • Barrier analysis consulting and orchestration of technical activities required to remove opportunity or account barriers.
  • Create strategic stakeholder messaging leveraging your account intelligence.
  • Lead and/or orchestrate large and complex technical presales projects and sales cycles.
  • Be a technical generalist with expertise in one or more opentext portfolio functional areas

 

Who you are:

  • Technical expert with sales and relationship-building skills.
  • An outstanding communicator with the ability to simplify complex topics and align them to business outcomes. Fluent in German and English. 
  • A problem solver with the ability to “think outside the box” who is relentless in pursuit of achieving objectives.
  • A natural leader capable of leading multiple internal supporting teams to help reach your desired outcomes.
  • You take ownership and act with urgency and are capable of driving urgency within the account team.
  • Motivated to learn with a natural curiosity and passion that drives self-directed enablement.
  • You enjoy and are comfortable presenting to or leading discussions with Executives all the way down to technical administrators.
  • Education and Experience Required: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant job experience required 
  • 5+ years of Sales Engineering, Professional Service or Technical Consulting experience preferred. 
  • Ability to travel 20%- 40% as required.
  • Previous presales experience in one or more OpenText product portfolio functional areas.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture fundamentals
