The Lead Strategy Consultant, Investigations (LSC) is primarily responsible for building, managing, directing, and participating as necessary in, a team of investigatory review specialists dedicated to quickly and efficiently locating, summarizing, and providing documentary evidence essential to fully establishing, refining, and/or supporting a client’s position in complex legal matters, including litigations, internal and regulatory investigations, compliance audits, and due diligence reviews. The LSC will work directly with key, high value customers to deliver an exceptional experience, promoting repeat business and long-term relationships, and will be considered an integral part of the customer’s experience and the account’s success. The LSC will also be responsible for contributing to internal and external sales and marketing efforts directed at promoting the team’s benefits and capabilities, including written materials as well as speaking engagements. This position reports to the Senior Director - Legal Tech Cloud Services.

●            Develop, maintain, and lead a team of investigatory review specialists, through talent acquisition sufficient to satisfy the full spectrum of project objectives and meet workload demands.

●            Manage all financial aspects of the investigations team, including market pricing, project pricing, project invoicing, and individual project and overall team revenue projections, objectives, and reporting.

●            Lead all technical aspects of client engagement, including consulting and strategizing with clients on efficient and effective ways to meet objectives through appropriate issue identification, document collection, tool selection, and project staffing and management.

●            Create project plans defining scope of work, including lists of deliverables and deadlines, scheduling, resource allocation, reporting, and revenue projections.  Execute on these plans both directly, and in conjunction with the leadership of others.

●            Develop and implement a team environment with ability to communicate directly, contemporaneously, and constantly with all team members transforming individual knowledge, and individual discoveries, into team knowledge and team success.

●            Develop and implement appropriate standard operating procedures and other collateral necessary to ensure continuity in operations and delivery, and support a                            defensible work product.

●            Provide superior client service in demanding, deadline driven situations ensuring the delivery of quality work product within established time frames.

●            Ensure work product of team meets the standards of quality set forth in project plan and adhere to the quality standards established by the Legal Tech Cloud Services                   management team.

●            Apply analytical skills and leverage existing methodologies to various client situations and practice disciplines to meet shifting client needs.

●            Maintain all necessary documentation in the performance of work including required project reporting, custom requests, and customized solutions.

●            Prepare narrative summaries and chronologies detailing the results of the investigation, with citation to the supporting documentary evidence.

●            Develop, in conjunction with sales and marketing, materials necessary to promote and grow the investigations team and services, including written materials, and                           participation in webinars, conferences, and other speaking engagements.

●            Juris Doctorate from an accredited university, barred in at least one state.

●            Ten or more years of experience with a service or consulting firm directly supporting complex legal matters, including litigations, internal and regulatory investigations,                    compliance audits, and due diligence reviews for corporations or law firms.

●            Strong communication skills with experience testifying in court.

●            Inquisitive nature and ability to digest and consolidate vast amounts of information in order to identify key facts that are not readily apparent.

●            Ability to recognize when enough evidence has been uncovered to achieve factual certainty.

●            Exceptional writing and presentation skills with the ability to present facts clearly and with supporting details and timelines.

●            Expertise with various legal support software and the ability to learn and apply new software quickly.

●            Expert on the litigation lifecycle, EDRM, litigation document review and workflows, complex searches related to litigation, Technology Assisted Review and Continuous Active Learning.

●            Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to individuals with varying degrees of technological skills.

●            Strong consulting and management skills.

Role Challenges and Special Working Conditions

●            Overnight travel throughout the world to visit OpenText corporate office, clients, and/or employees may be necessary.

●            Requirements may dictate the necessity to work hours outside of normal, 40-hour workweek.

For Colorado residents, the minimum compensation estimated for this position is $180,000 in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan.  Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
