The Opportunity:
The Cloud Services Product Management (CSPM) team is responsible for defining and delivering OpenText’s Cloud Services offerings across the full lifecycle, owning the roadmap, the plan and the deployment strategy. Involved in all aspects of OpenText Cloud Service readiness, we focus on both operationalization and commercialization. This role reporting into the Director of CSPM, requires the successful candidate to work cross-functionally across key areas of the organization and within the Cloud Operations domain to drive the successful adoption of valuable, secure, reliable, scalable and available OpenText Cloud solutions and managed services offerings. 


This essential role is focused on having this product management leader identify and prioritize strategic capabilities and features of Cloud Services based on what the market requires, what our customers need and what the company can deliver. We see product management as a discipline enabling frameworks for decision making with confidence and critical to delivering our Cloud. 

As the ideal applicant, you are both product and technology savvy, goal-driven, and remarkably passionate about delivering software products and services in an end-to-end manner. You operate with a visionary’s point of view and have an owner’s mindset. You are an experienced product manager with a strong track record of leading products on all dimensions of the 4Ps and as demonstrated by your products’ adoption and success in the market. As a progressive product manager, you put impact at the core of everything you do, and you shape products and services based on value proposition. You are a master at stakeholder management and use it to get it done.


The leader in this role will work with not only the Director of CSPM but with their peers, managers in Cloud Operations, Product Management, Engineering Revenue Operations to bring about innovation for OpenText Cloud. This position requires strong attention to detail, an iterative mindset, excellent communication, and “hands-on” product management skills. You have a head for business, and a pragmatic, often methodical approach to problem-solving. You are non-political, can influence without authority across different teams and seniority levels and you have a clear track record of leadership and clear impact.

What you'll be doing:
•    Define standard product and service features via acceptance criteria, requirements and user stories so that they are both clear and actionable for business and technical teams. 
•    Drive, align and deliver on key initiatives that enable secure, available and manageable cloud solutions for our OpenText domains and customers.
•    Conduct market, product, and service research so that you understand where to set the bar on performance and capability with OpenText Cloud platform and its services.
•    Be accountable and responsible for offering excellence in offering standard services in standard ways so that they are commercialized in cost and margin-effective manners.
•    Establish and influence the adoption of processes and frameworks that enable scalability, standardization and repeatability as pillars of our OpenText Cloud services value proposition.
•    Champion OpenText Cloud service literacy within the organization and drive internal adoption rates amongst other product management and engineering leaders.
•    Establish and prioritize feedback loops, win/loss reflections and continuous improvement into all the processes and frameworks that you depend on and particularly with stakeholders involved in the commercialization phases of delivery.
•    Translate the vision and objectives of key initiatives into smaller, actionable parts so that they can be delivered in increments and then propose and align resources for each.
•    Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales Engineers to support and articulate clear and confident messaging in response to prospect and customer inquiries related to the use Cloud services.
•    Develop a strong understanding of OpenText Cloud products and services and importantly the processes that enable and support commercialization.

You are great at:

Required Education  

 •    Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent and applied experience in software domain; MBA and/or Cloud Certifications a plus.


Required Experience    

•    10+ years of industry experience, preferably in software and in Cloud and in a global, high-tech environment while managing strategic deliverables.


Required Knowledge    
•    What it takes to define and deliver successful initiatives with impact and with results based on strategic objectives.
•    Managed cloud services that offer partial or complete management of a client's cloud applications, resources or infrastructure. Management responsibilities can include migration, configuration, optimization, security, and maintenance.
•    Cloud Services Platforms to scale and simplify building, deploying, running, and managing services in the cloud. Built on open APIs and public cloud providers, you understand how to modernize applications through improved operationalization, security and more.
