The Opportunity:
We are looking for motivated individuals to help manage the setup and release of the products developed by OpenText, developed for OpenText, and re-sold by OpenText. Product scope continues to expand to container platforms and artifacts related to cloud deployments. This cross-functional role will require you to establish rapport and maintain communication with the product team and related departments within OpenText. You will interact and share information with product managers, product marketing managers, R&D managers, QA managers, and technical writers among others about product details, dates, documentation, and special requirements.
As a Release Management Analyst, you will:
- Review assigned price proposals with Lead or Senior RM Analyst for existing and new products, determine the SAP Materials (SKUs), product key attribute setup, and configuration required in SAP to ensure the successful fulfillment of the products.
- Coordinate with Product Managers on product releases, ensuring correct files are released and made available to customers, while also validating security, export, and escrow compliance requirements.
- Work with Lead or Senior RMA and Partner Program managers regarding partner product releases that are re-sold by OpenText, ensuring correct files are released and the fulfillment process is documented.
- Keep the product team informed of progress, setbacks, and risks related to all product releases.
- Assist Product Managers on the workflow process for product releases.
- Enforce the policies governing the Product Release process.
- Upload software, documentation, release notes, etc., to the OpenText My Support site and/or Akamai as required.
- Manage permissions for files on My Support in the Documentation and Software Download areas.
- Create secuirty groups, link SAL Material Number to them, and administer permissions to products in ITSM and My Support.
- Ensure that all work is of the highest quality and meets the needs of our customers.
- Be responsible for interdepartmental communications related to your assigned products.
- Research and document requirements for product keys.
- Run reports out of SAP for materials updates and data verifications.
- Address tickets and assignments in the Release Management Help Desk queue
- Participate in projects related to mergers and acquisitions as assigned with Sr. or Lead RMA to facilitate the migration of product software and documentation to the My Support site. Assist with the mapping of all product-related materials (SKU) data as well.
- Reference team SOPs and wikis. Recommend updates where information is unclear or outdated.

What It Takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of three years working in a product marketing or technology equivalent environment is required.
- 2-5 years of experience, some of which is relevant to the job
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document publication tools (Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver)
- Significant knowledge of document or content management systems and concepts desired
- Solid understanding of folder and document permissions is desired.
- Experience with Content Server beneficial, but not required
- Basic knowledge of SAP ERP system or equivalent desired
This job is expected to pay in the range of $67,000 to $101,000 in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
