Senior Account Executive – IoT



We are looking for consistent overachieving Sr. Account Executives to drive the sale of our IoT solutions throughout customer organizations. You will continue to expand your knowledge of the market space, competitors and related industries as well as gaining an understanding of the industry drivers and trends that are impacting customers and driving their business and buying decisions. This will assist you in your ultimate deliverable which is building new revenue streams through the expansion and growth of the business relationships within current and new clients. Our solution provides the ability to provide real-time access to data at all stops in the global supply chain. Our IoT enabled supply chain delivers improved monitoring of shipments as they move through the supply chain, avoids supply chain disruptions and associated indirect costs and enables companies to manage supply chain performance and react in real-time. No one can offer this solution at scale like Opentext.

You will be given named accounts and a territory and will interact with those organizations to learn about their challenges and develop creative solutions with our product portfolio. This is accomplished by reviewing complex customer requirements and feasibility of improvements to the top supply chain providers in the world. We want to leverage your successful and proven track in selling technology with a vision that makes a material impact at senior executive levels across the organization, supply chain, technology and sales.

Working together we will make sure you are well versed in developing and supporting the relationship between OpenText and your customers at multiple organizational levels and possess the ability to gather information on customer business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing to deliver value-added business solutions.



  • You come to us with a proven track record of success and over quota attainment selling IoT solutions. You have sold in and have deep market and competitor knowledge of IoT solutions and how it is applied across at least one of the following verticals: Transportation, Logistics, Manufacturing, Automotive and Retail.
  • You are a proven account developer, building strategic account plans within existing accounts in the future 500 and Supply chain Top 50.
  • Keys to your success are learning the different internal resources available to you and proactively developing those relationships. Creativity is a must as is your ability to build relationships with the key decision makers and influencers. You have to build a sales plan that you can architect, communicate, and execute.
    This is an opportunity to contribute to the top line of a multi-billion-dollar company that is investing in the IoT space. Our portfolio enables you to go into any organization and have a value-add conversation at the Executive level.
  • Preferred experience in a top tier professional services organization a plus
  • Preferred Remote locations:  Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, New York, Dallas or Houston.
